How does everyone think Uate went at the Nines?

I think he went decent, just needs to get his speed back.

We will see round one I suppose...

Very impressed, even defended well despite being put in some difficult defensive situations, pretty good speedwise, will get better, especially in a regular game as they aren't as draining

Hey, there's probably a thread out there somewhere but is there any chance the trials are televised or at least streamed somewhere?

I liked the speed he showed but for mine he didn't run hard enough and the opposition really didn't seem concerned about him at all.
I'm was bothered by his performance yesterday but I'm going to try and give him the benefit of the doubt as it was a preseason hit out. Hopefully he can kick on and be a great pick up, but from what I saw at this tournament I'd still very much rather have Buhrer.

Its good to have you back @HappilyManly . We'd be lost without your input. You didnt miss much on here in the off-season, a cpl brawls, but all in all pretty sedate compared to previous off-seasons!

Kind of agree Woodsie, but in his defence, Manly played a direct game with the big boys through the middle passage...attempting to bend the line then go wide or the offload to play off the back- in which case he was wider anticipating the ball to cash in with his speed....
I have no doubt he will come in and split plenty in 2017 off the wing, but in the 9's the game plan definately involved rolling that middle 3rd and if we had the luxury of DCE as playmaker on the weekend - think he would have scored 3-4 more tries off the back of this.
