Turbo relieved with recovery

As soon as it became apparent we would be playing on a dead track in poor weather conditions Tommy should have been scratched.

Agreed, that whole game I cringed everytime he got tackled. When he started limping towards the end of the game I started getting annoyed.

Sounds like he is all good, and now gets a week off to be fresh for the gummies game.

He probably wanted a chance to impress before the Origin 2 squad was named. And presumably the fact that the coaches / medical staff were ok with it is because he actually had recovered. I mean he was golfing a couple of weeks ago.

Whilst Tom was able to play against the Knights, says he "felt 100%", and it seems all's well, it still begs the question why he looked so down after the game :wondering: Maybe horrid weather put him in a horrid mood but I would've thought he'd be happy just to get through it unscathed.

I can understand his desire and ambition to be considered or to make the Blue's squad but did feel a little uneasy with him playing on the night . He does have a particular and certain running style that usually does serve him well and does fight in all tackles with his competitive attitude , and he can not be expected to change these aspects. Hopefully his body will gradually toughen up over time to cope with those sometimes harder gang type tackles .

Actions over words

Whats the old saying - if it has feather and goes quack.

To look at is another way, if that was 100% from TT then get Gutho back ASAP.

Jesus - harsh. It was literally monsoonal down there at Brooky Fluffy. I was sitting high up in the KA Stand, and was still getting wet with those winds. He still managed 112 metres, made as many tackles as his best game for us this season (only one missed). And you're dropping him for Gutherson?

Some games a dire affairs. It happens. Especially in that weather.

In those conditions you're not going to see any player at their best. Except maybe some of the tight forwards, and maybe the halves if they kick exceptionally well.

Agree with that. Friday night's conditions weren't the type where we were going to see Tom at his running best.
