This is terrible news going forward. The guy is now just a walking crystal glass case. He's become too brittle for NRL. One more major injury next year or 3 and it's time for medical retirement.

The rumours of Tom re-injuring his hammy are now on fox sports web site.
The fact that Des answered and gave a vague change in training answer proves Tommy did something.

MANLY coach Des Hasler has torpedoed a suggestion Tommy Turbo Trbojevic had to pull up at training last week due to a hamstring issue.

One of the NRL’s most talented fullback’s, Tommy Turbo had a frustrating 2020 due to injury with hamstring and shoulder injuries meaning he only made seven NRL appearances.

Talk out of the northern beaches last week had Turbo pulling up at training due to a hamstring issue.

But Sea Eagles coach Hasler said the gun fullback was on target to be fit for Manly’s round one assignment against the Roosters at the SCG.

“There’s nothing wrong, we just decided to change up his rehab,” Hasler said.

I saw this - If there was any set back at all though, particularly with a hamstring and even more so with Tom, you'd imagine he would not have been doing any running whatsoever this week whilst in camp with the team at NSWRL HQ.

This will be an ongoing thing and become like the boy who cried Wolf...
As this hamstring has proven to be such an issue - a "REAL" issue, the media baron's will lurk around and if Tom like any other player feels a tweak or pinch, will sit out and rest it.
This will be promoted as some Massive season ending injury and could well be nothing, but then again if it is serious, we will still be told its a minor thing....speculation is a waste of time, as will only find out the truth when the season gets going and if Tom is moving freely or "rested" from week to week.

Reading Des’s comments makes me think he has done something.
Tommy was running late last year and about to play SOO let alone round 1 2021.
We are now months down the track and rehab shouldn’t even be mentioned in any comment made by Des if he hadn’t done anything.
I smell a cover up

I was told by a trustworthy source that Tom would be out for a long time! Obviously he was seen training a few days later so either he is taking the piss or there was a false alarm.

Thankyou Pepi for posting unsubstantiated claims which then create unnecessary work for the club’s coaching and media staff. Because you know, league journalists never trawl through these websites.

We all appreciate your thoughtful efforts.;)

Someone mentioned they seen him running at training after the supposed injury. Reading Des' comments are a little concerning however I'd have to believe theis person who has actually seen him running since this story "broke" hardly something you would do with a dodgy hammy

Well we do find ourselves suddenly wallowing in the age of conspiracy theories and fake news. Turbo's hammies are tailor-made for this environment, and are sure to be a recurring story, well into the future.
