Transfer window and Salary cap review urgently needed!!

I really wish that the NRL would start listening to fans and do something about these transfer deals where contracted players are signing for other clubs so early into a season and review in total the salary cap that only works for a few clubs.

It is Deja Vu watching the Tigpies struggle to retain their stars like we did with DCE and Foran in 15. That really killed out season and it is killing their one in 17. Seeing a smug Dalai and his whinging worms and the dirty dogs feasting on the Tigpies is really sad to be honest. I might be from the old school but you want clubs to be able to retain juniors that they nurture. I dont blame the players cause its all about winning a comp and getting the money and the Tigpies are struggling at the moment.

How the hell do the donkeys get away with signing Bird for that money when they have a state side already?

I would like to see a transfer window open from October after the grand final till the end of January as it is depressing to read about players going to other clubs and in some cases breaking contracts.

This and the salary cap structure needs to be reviewed and updated and a level playing field needs to be there cause right now, only a few clubs benefit from the current system

And this is why we need people at the top that can show zero bias to any side in their decision making.

This, and a fairer " cap system" ( possibly points based) is exactly where the game should be headed.

But no, let's ensure favourite sons the Brisbane Donkeys get their guaranteed Friday night games, and their one team one town advantage and let's just wipe under the carpet the fact they are operating ( with TPA's) on probably 50% more cap than any other side!!

Is there any other industry where you can sign with a rival organisation whilst under contract at your current work place ( without a transfer fee ) or is this unique to this sport ???

It's just another way that the NRL shows no real leadership.
