100% with you mate - my older brother who played NSW soccer was my hero and actually had me as a Liverpool supporter long before knowing rugby league....on my bucket list to head to Anfield for a game.Ynwa sung always brings a tear to my eye being a Liverpool supporter.
Anfield is one thing, Old Trafford is amazing and the Mecca for United fans like me. To be there on game day is some experience, 75K crowd going nuts supporting them, I lived over there in the 90s and they were heady days for United. Ive also been to Anfield, White Hart Lane, the old Highbury, Stamford Bride, Elland Road, The atmosphere at the English grounds is amazing!100% with you mate - my older brother who played NSW soccer was my hero and actually had me as a Liverpool supporter long before knowing rugby league....on my bucket list to head to Anfield for a game.
A little envious, as any would be magic- with Anfield the dream as a mad LFC supporter, but damn you have done well mate....congrats I say and much respect to Man Utd, who have not been the same since Fergo and Rooney days , but you just know will always come back....Anfield is one thing, Old Trafford is amazing and the Mecca for United fans like me. To see big games like FA cup semi finals at Wembley or England play Germany was amazing. To be at Crystal Palace on a Wednesday night in April 1993 and witness United clinch their first title in 26 years and what it meant to the fans that night. Liverpool will be experiencing that soon one this madness ends.A little envious, as any would be magic- with Anfield the dream as a mad LFC supporter, but damn you have done well mate....congrats I say and much respect to Man Utd, who have not been the same since Fergo and Rooney days , but you just know will always come back....

United had 20 amazing years and the hole they are in at the moment is tough to take, For Liverpool its been a 30 year wait and for their fans thats unthinkable.
The rivalry between our clubs is the biggest in England if not the world in a club context. The games are hard fought with passionate and knowlegable fans and begrudging respect. I respect Liverpool in that they have tried to build teams with young local players like United did and mix it with a blend of strong foreign players. I like seeing clubs develop players unlike ****ty City and Chelski who buy anything that moves!
My family are from the East End of London and West Ham is the team that many of them follow. I used to visit Upton Park and it would hold about 35K crowd and it was one of the most intimidating places for an away team, especially at fever pitch if Millwal or Spurs or Arsenal were the visitors.West Ham United

A stadium full of bubbles, doesn't get much better!

Ive not been to the new one. I remember walking down Green Street to the ground and it was always intimidating. I have a soft spot for West Ham due to my roots. I remember the hatred the fans had for Millwall especially and they would were always a club who did well in cups and struggled in the league, my first language is cockney rhyming slang. My grandparents used that and they survived the depression and the blitz which was a tough life in the East End and football was a real lifeblood for them.So jealous I can hardly type haha, just not the same at the new stadium though now. You were lucky to experience the Boleyn in all its glory!
