Winging it
Watching Monday night with Matty and interview with Tooves. Choc still troubled by his knee and unlikely this weekend. Snake most likely has a hamstring strain and they won't risk him this weekend if he doesn't recover. Buhrer has serious rib cartilage damage and likely to miss two weeks.

I have no doubts at all that Snake and Choc will be both be right for week one of the finals.
I don't think it was a coincidence that Snake went off as soon as he scored the try that put Saturdays game beyond doubt. He is just being rested and put in cotton wool once the top 4 spot was secured IMO.

I thought they confirmed that Snake didn't have a tear in the hammy. Sounds like Choc's isn't great, but should be right for Week 1 and Buhrer is gone.

Buhrer, Watmough and Brett Stewart in cotton wool before semis
STAFF WRITERS MANLY DAILY SEPTEMBER 02, 2013 3:46PM
MANLY  are set to field a patched up squad in this Sunday's round 26 tussle with the Panthers at Brookvale Oval.

Backrower Jamie Buhrer won't play after sustaining rib damage in the early minutes of Saturday night's impressive 28-8 win against Melbourne.

Brett Stewart (hamstring) and Anthony Watmough (knee) are also likely to be rested.

A club spokesperson yesterday revealed Buhrer is racing the clock to be fit for the first semi-final.

"Jamie has already had scans and is on the mend, but these type of injuries always take time to heal,'' he said.

"Not playing on Saturday (against Melbourne) will help Choc (Watmough's) cause and Snake (Stewart) came off late purely as a precaution.

"These guys know how to look after their bodies, they will be right when it matters.''

Sunday is the last chance to see the Sea Eagles on home soil in 2013.

It will also double as the final time Brent Kite and Joe Galuvao run out on to the Fortress in maroon and white after years of service.

Kite, who will line up for Penrith in 2014, made his debut for the Sea Eagles in 2005.

He won the Clive Churchill Medal in 2008 following a vintage performance in the 40-0 grand final win against Melbourne and was also a key member of the 2011 triumph versus the Warriors.

Galuvao arrived at Manly in 2010 after making his first grade debut in 1998.

Have I missed something ? is Joe playing ?

Bloody hell.

I really think I should use any tickets I'm lucky enough to win in the future!

Aust isn't that far away, surely! And look at what I'm missing out on! :(

Go Manly!

The injury list on the club's website had Joe listed as out for the season earlier in the year, it then changed to indefinite a little while back, and now he is not listed at all. What a boost for the finals if it is true!

I know nothing, but JoeeG woukd be an awesome winger :p
Would be happy just to see JoeeG as the ballboy

GE have you worked out the cost benefit of less Jim Bean and more Manly ?
It would be like choosing between your hats, but at Brookie you would have the JB Girls to ogle :p

Meh, my experience is the Jim Beam girls ogle me! (I feel so vulnerable and objectified!)

In the Manly Daily a couple of months ago Zorba hinted that he may back it back on the field this year

WOW. Good and bad news in the one thread. It's great that Joe may be back, but sad that Big George is being moved on. Damn you salary cap!
I hope he goes to a good club. He's been a fantastic Manly man.
I'll be there to see him off, and Brent.

Stoked that Joe G might be running around this weekend.
Sad that he won't be running around next year.
Wasn't there a bit of mail that he was considering going around again?
With the loss of Kite, that would have been really handy.

Joe Galuvao just tweeted this
