Tooves 1 step closer?

I see in today's Manly Daily that Geoff Toovey will step into a full time NRL role with the club.
Toovey will join Dennis Moore as one of Hasler's assistant coaches.
Is this one step closer to taking over from Des?
Good move imo - all they need to do now is replace Blocker.........

To be honest - I think this solidifies the boards support in Des. It's probably a sign that they want Des around for a while, & Toovey wouldn't want to remain in PL for the long years Des is in office.
Whilst we have discussed my opinion on some of Des's team selections, on the flip side, there are a number of pluses:-

1. Team has improved year on year;
2. We don't appear to be roll overs anymore;
3. Quality players are coming to the club;
4. Matai, Rose, Bryant, Stewart & co. have all improved under Des;
5. Politics @ Manly seem to now be behind closed doors etc etc..

God - I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I think Des is a decent coach, and happy he's around for a few years.
