Titans will be out for revenge after the flogging we gave them in the first game. The boys need to be up for this one!!! I’m sure Des will pump it into them that they need to go from the start & not let the Titans into the game! On paper we should flog them again…..the boys need to do it on the field! DCE, Foz, Tom, Jake & Marty need to keep the youngsters in check.

Expecting a massive show of support next week for the boys - plenty of Manly fans on the GC and Northern NSW.

Fill the Stadium with Maroon and White
Yep, if it was a Friday or Saturday game, I would have been down there for sure but alas, it is a Sunday game so unfortunately, I won't be able to be there.

Like last week, another game in which we start as favourites and get it done. Titans will need to improve even to make a game of it.

Titans have been hot and cold this season (so what's new), but though noting SOO players being absent from their past two opponents, they did hold the Storm to 14-20 and Sydney City to 34-35. To me they are a little better than their 13th spot. They've given the Sea Eagles some nasty defeats in recent seasons. They are playing on home turf. Manly needs to take them seriously.

Discipline will be key in this one.

Titans ran in 3 tries when Rooters had a man off for 10.

We also can't let this team get a 12-0 lead as they have showed they can get a massive roll-on when they start scoring.

If Fifita is out that is a huge blow for them - we contained him last time thru Harper, but Harps looks a bit wounded with that leg strapping would be a big ask containing Fifita whilst carrying an injury.

On the plus side, our form against Qld teams this year is outstanding - 50-6, 50-18 and 36-0. Don't think we have ever had those results against these teams as at least 1 of them is strong in any given season.

Hate the place. Never recovered from that 2009 ending.

75 min: FIELD GOAL Manly Sea Eagles Matt Orford stands deep and sets it perfectly... Manly are up by one! Manly Sea Eagles 17-16

77 min: Lyon knocks on for Manly with a try certain to be scored. ROGERS IS AWAY! He's dragged down short of halfway though. The Titans with a last roll of the dice now.

78 min: PENALTY Titans - ten metres out, right in front. Preston Campbell grubbers for the line, soccers it along the ground, Campbell's been tripped on the way to the ball according to the referee. Orford's blowing up. Controversy at Skilled Park, the Titans will win through a penalty goal in very dubious circumstances.

79 min: PENALTY GOAL Gold Coast Titans Prince converts the penalty and gives the Titans what should be certain victory. Gold Coast Titans 18-17

80 min: The Titans with the ball wind down the clock. Game, set, match.

FULLTIME: Gold Coast Titans 18 Manly Sea Eagles 17 This will be talked about for weeks to come, the Gold Coast edging Manly out near fulltime with a controversial penalty awarded in favour of Preston Campbell as he toed the ball ahead in the final two minutes. Outside that - a fantastic game where one might even say the better team lost.
