I wonder if the rule changes and increased pace of the game is leading to more injuries. To add to that I think there have probably been more injuries as a result of gang tackles than there ever were for shoulder charges

Look at the size of the average player now. Years ago players like 2V could play the game. Now 1/2s are 90kg and the back three can be 100kg each.

Not really there are still a few midgets in the game, like Soward

Its the wrestle, twisting joints past their natural extension
The length of time that Refs subjectively take to call 'held', just encourages the wrestle :dodgy:

The hysteria over shoulder charges and even a punch is such a beat up, and yet we have these type of moves which are

1) rubbish for the game
2) causing more injuries than ever before

Totally agree but there are a lot more 100kg plus players, and this over a game and then a season equals much bigger collisions, more frequently than ever before. A lot more injuries is sure to follow. Add to that the wrestling and it's injuries all round.

And Soward would be 90kgs for sure.

All the 1000s of topics that have been posted here, I can't believe no-one ever thought of this thread title before.

I want Soward to do a Gilbert Gottfried impersonation.
