The worst ref calls 2018

One of our players was binned earlier in the year. After repeated (cough cough) infringement on our own goal line, we were warned. About 10 minutes lates, for something completely different a player was marched quite simply because that was outpr next oenalty. It was a power play by the refs but it was ridiculous.

When the refs went looking for penalties and sin binnings what does anyone expect. That a team wont give another penaly away for another 50 minutes when they have 15 officials looking for any indiscretion. Really poor management and showed how little those in charge know about ............well anything

But the ref probably passed his kpis, and got pats on the back. Terrible blight on the game

I'd like to see a game before the end of the year where they penalise one team for every possible infringement, and ref the other team as normal.

Gotta be fair on this. Every time I watch a raiders game i'm just waiting for the moment the ref's will stitch them up.

Ricky can carry on a bit after a loss but the last couple of years, they've copped it worse than any team I'd reckon.

I am sceptical that had Manly been the team that copped that monumentally stuffed up call that Canberra copped last weekend that there would have been such a hoo haa about it

As for dud calls, you would have an easier job finding a game that didn't have a dud call in it, it is now the norm and only the real clangers raise comment - sad but true

I can't wait to see what stats on incorrect calls the refs boss comes out with at the end of this season. Last year I think they admitted they got something like 7 calls incorrect all season (eye roll, head shake)

I've always been against the Bunker. But while it remains at the very least it should not be able to slow down the action.
The game is played at the pace that decisions should be made. Real speed. If the eye tells your brain that the ball has been knocked on then that's how it should be ruled.
Stop-frame replays skew real-time reality. To have to get the CSI team to forensically analyse if a player touched the ball, or 'bobbled' the ball, is not in the spirit of this sport.

Tigers V Broncs game result was decided by a very poor call in the Broncs (gasp) favour. Illegal play the ball (it wasnt) under the sticks in golden point .. that's the worst this year for me

I thought the worst call this year was the one where Slater dead set dropped the ball while attempting a grubber and ended up kicking it into in goal and "scoring a try" because it was ruled an attempted drop kick. To rule that anything other than a knock on showed me that these clowns have lost touch with the feel of the game. Most farcical call for years

Also when did the knock on rule get changed to remove the important bit about propelling it TOWARDS the opponents goal line ? It's pretty much touch football rules these days on dropped balls.
