I was a little concerned going into this weeks match against the Raiders that a bit of complacency may have crept into the team.... However now with the Mason and Shillington debacle I'm more comfortable knowing the boys will be fired up again! Motivation will not be an issue.

The NRL want Manly's licence to create a generic NRL expansion team.
Manly's own management want to change things assuming failure and remove Manly's culture to create a generic money making franchise.

I don't think supporters from other teams are against us any more, they are actually starting to believe it is the world vs Manly. They envy Manly's culture and want it to stay so they have, ironically, something to hate.

It's called passion no matter what side of the fence you sit, and there are forces trying to erode it.

My problem with the 'NRL doesn't want Manly' theory is that every good story, every page turner needs a villain, an anti-hero. And that, my friends, is us. Anyone who wants us gone doesn't understand basic storytelling.
