The problem

Since you are probably one of likely not many who has actually spoken to him….myself included. Do you think he is as bad as how he is portrayed on this site?
He’s just a normal dude. He’s definitely tight and doesn’t want to put his hand in his pockets unless forced. The thing that struck me most was the laid back attitude, but with that said, I would never expect him to be losing his mind or visibly upset in front of a bunch of people. He and Mestrov and their families were huddled in the corner all night, you'd never even know who they were. I think he’s okay, but agree he’s not the guy we need at the helm to go to the next level.

Ive been saying this for months in the sack Seibold thread but no one has been listening.

Nothing will change , ever , whilst they are owners.

You can sack 20 coaches if you like , and 50 -60 CEO’s but whilst ever it’s just run on the NRL grants and nothing more , what you see is what you’ll get.
Yet, Seibold was extended for another two seasons, next year and the year after, was this extension triggered by a clause in his contract if we make the finals, or did management just extend his contract on the basis of making the finals?, if it was the latter, then how dumb is the management, no other club would have been chasing Seibold so why the extension?, unless him being mates with Mestrov influenced the decision.
There are rumblings that all is not well in the dressing roomand it looks like we have to put up with him for two more years, unless theres another payout, which seems to be the normality with our club.

Yes it’s “ Same **** Different Day “

And this SSDD has been going on ever since the Penn’s took 100% ownership.

The problem? #7
Never seen in Manly's history a more detrimental impact any one player has single-handedly made than that of DCE.

His character, contract, leadership, and style of play, has crippled our club since 2015. How much division has this bloke caused since the demise of Toovey and co?

He inspires nothing from his younger players, he is not mates with anyone, has always been distant, fosters no team spirit, plays like a selfish twat, and had made it obvious from day dot that Daly comes first above all else. Seriously, now give this type of person the captaincy and see what kind of culture grows!

It might help if someone whispered in DCE's ear that Turbo only has one 1 on his back; he keeps hitting the guy running in front of him with the 2 1's on his back - 11

I appreciate that it's not your main point, but I think every club sort of pays out their coaches. You either extend them or fire them don't you? Not passing judgement on whether that's right or wrong but it's rare that a contract just expires and both parties move on.

I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time with the lads from our glory years and let me tell you, the team hated him. They all wanted to take paycuts to stay together, but DCE wasnt having it. We could of easily had a few more premierships if it wasnt for that greedy little turd.

I think i read that there is a clause in his contract in our favour. Where we only have to pay the balance of his contract for the year he is sacked. So if we sack him now we dont have to worry about 2026 & 2027.

Hopefully that’s true - presumably the termination clause is triggered by missing the finals - otherwise it isn’t much of a contract if we can simply pay the balance of the current year only.

Navale is certainly surprising with his limited i st grade appearances this season
Can only assume a practical reason , probably a bit early for the likes of Hart
Not too sure what other youngsters could have been promoted this season at least
Definitely would like to see Walsh given a taste of i st grade before season "s end but will just have to see i guess
Im sure Navale will get a go at some stage, he might have to spend 10 years in NSW Cup and sustain a few injuries before he meets the current standard of getting a call up
