The Players Voice - Lloyd Perrett

Also his comment that his normal body temp is 20-25% higher than a normal person is probably misleading .... this is probably a % increase in a Normal range of variance or some such .....

To suggest is normal temp is around 124 is ........ he would be dead at about 107 ....

I know that not all the details are necessarily given a retelling .... and I only have my humble Surf life saving 1st aid but we are trained to recognise and initially treat both hypothermia and hyperthermia .....

flotsam/jetsam
stalagmite/stalactite
tomato/tomato

but sometimes the difference is important ..... like moose/floor rug ...

hahaha...wait what...? sheesh that's cold and harsh man....cold ..and ...harsh.

But yes, I like these articles. I mean they use a ghost writer (hence the reason they are tagged as a contributor) but you certainly get a better idea of what these athletes go through. Hopefully the website keeps it up.

Would that not depend on his muscle or fat content...and which weighs more....

Fair dinkum .... for one of the few times I have stayed on topic in a thread, and given it due gravitas ..... the two blokes that jump in and give it to me with red herrings .... are the two mods .......

There is no hope for any of us .... chaos ... chaos I tell you ....

Stay on topic mate... 10 warning points

Actually it was @Woodsie who highlighted just how fricken hard it is to make first grade and whether we think player x is the best or worst in the universe.... to even get there is a monumental achievement, and should be respected. Especially when referring to players in our own team!

I see a lot of skiers on their way through the system and few will make it. But the work that a lot of these young kids do and the injuries they can suffer (2 broken legs at 13 anyone?) is admirable.

If articles from those that have 'made it' help us understand what they all go through a bit better, then we all will have improved from it.

We can't rely on @lsz to be our voice of conscience / reason all the time!

Edit: Woodsie your dummy spit rating is for the post above the one you gave it too, surely...lol

Great article
Lloyd certainly taking his opportunity in the Nrl realising it could be over before it even begins
He has been on the bench for first grade and doesn’t always gets big minutes but backs up in the Reggie’s when they play next day on a few occasions it could be the coach asking him but I believe it’s lloyd that puts his hand up
Well done Lloyd

To be fair I think it is my first one in a long time...and a topic that needs discussing....again

There does seem to be a difference in that Perrett has made a real effort to help himself and get some stability and consistency in his life and footy where as this has really not applied in Foz's case , at least in some previous times

To be fair, I don’t think Lloyd necessarily was lacking stability in his life outside of footy. IIRC, they’re quite the devoutly religious family, the Perretts.

Every one knows that muscle weights more than fat. That is why chubby Lloyd is such a lightweight.

I had to re read this twice. I thought that you were alluding that Lloyd was a sh^t player or are you?
Certainly not. While Lloyd is not a champion, I would never denigrate him in such a way on a public forum.
Just thinking of all the sh^t I had to cope with in life, then becoming aware of others whose problems made mine seem insignificant.
What a difference a , makes!
