That's a OEE blast from the past!
Certainly is, I remember the Oracle well, it was as funny as all ****!!
I'm real good mates with Aaron Markie who created and ran OEE, and also ran the MWSE forum until Zorba canned it.
Good times , I reckon if I add my OEE posts , MWSE posts and Silvertails posts I'd probably have 40,000 or so!!
It would be interesting to go back and read some threads in OEE.
Must say Mark, from this "long time Listener, first time caller" type, if there was a forum hall of fame (or shame!), you would be one of the first to get a nod.
Use to love OEE - gday to Aaron if he reads this! Also the Oracle was an absolute tool, there was some other weirdo called Mark from Moree...
Thankfully they don't post here
Bryan's career has gone on to bigger and brighter things since then, if you pardon the pun, there was also some tool who was running a Manly Haters site, from memory an obvious Norths supporter, and Norths were still in the comp and hadn't merged with us, so I wonder how he feels after the breakup?.My first ever forum was way back in the 90's, a young Aussie of the year Bryan Gaensler ran a forum, I was one of the first to take it up, from there to OOE, then MWSE, and finally Silvertails!!
I used to read the one eyed eagle. I heard a rumour the club closed it down. Not sure if that is true or just a rumour.
That's interesting @Mark from Brisbane and yes Aaron is a good guy. Remember him well and it was a big loss and a shame he left. Glad he's doing well for himself. No, what actually happened is the club offered the owner ,Aaron Markie, a job, and to start and run their own forum and their first website.
Later Zorba closed down the Forum, and soon after Aaron left.
He now runs the NRL websites ( that each club uses) and the digital app (streaming service).
I think he actually works for Telstra who hav the contract, but that mightn't be right.
Good guy Aaron, we've remained close friends for all these years since.

Back on topic @Woodsie , I wouldn't be surprised if Dylan Walker replaces Wright in the 9's, being a centre and handy goalkicker.
