Makes for interesting reading.

There are some players there on serious overs. None more than Ash Taylor, Anthony Milford and Andrew Fifita.

700K for Damien Cook or Jarome Hughes seems pretty good value.

Roosters at $5.2 million for seven players on the list. That's after the retirement of Cordner, Morris or Friend. Doesn't include Tupou, Morris twins, Suali, Walker, Collins, Sitilli, Butcher or Verills.

Lol. The list is nothing more than a click-bait guess.
For example, when it was confirmed the Titans had succeeded in luring Fifita away from the Broncos the deal was reported as more than 1.3 mil/year.
In no time at all it has shrunk to 1mil? Yeah whatever.

Another example - it was only a year or so ago that Buzz published his version of the truth and he had Taukeiaho at 250k. Today he is 660k. Fine, whatever.

Interesting omission is Jerome Luai (unless I'm going blind lol). Can't believe he'd be on less than $450K, while Cleary's on $940K...

Depends on the length of his current contract.
Two seasons ago he wasn’t exactly a walk up start, last season was his breakout year. The most improved player in the NRL in my opinion.
He’s certainly added some $$ to his next contract.

And therein lies the panthers biggest problem. Unless they can keep churning out top class players to replace the ones who will inevitably move on for more money then their window of opportunity to win the comp probably closes next year. Having said that, they've done a good job over the last few years of bringing talent through

Interesting the article I read had 8 south's players total of $5.9 million leaving a paltry $3.12 million for the other 22 players.
Or have I got that wrong

Slothfield reported last year that DCE was on $1.3m

Maybe he took that pay cut. Most people usually offer to take pay cuts from there bosses after they get big bonuses.

Just last week I told my boss I would give back $100k as well.

All NRL players have taken a covid pay-cut in 2021...was it 10%? DCE's contract is also reported to be % based on cap rise. The cap was lowered this year so DCE probably copped a double-whammy. 1.3 last year and 1.1 this year sounds about right.
