There will be changes before '18 but the bulk will remain. One of the most telling things for me is that I can only name 3 players that have , as yet , not played 1st Grade. Surely having 27/30 players with "some" top grade experience is both good and unusual.

01. Tom Trbojevic
02. Jorge Taufua
03. Brian Kelly
04. Dylan Walker
05. Akuila Uate
06. Jackson Hastings
07. Daly Cherry-Evans
08. Darcy Lussick
09. Apisai Koroisou
10. Marty Taupau
11. Frank Winterstein
12. Curtis Sironen
13. Jake Trbojevic

14. Lewis Brown
15. Addin Fonua-Blake
16. Lloyd Perrett
17. Jack Gosiewski

18. Lachlan Croker
19.Jamil Hopoate
20. Toafofoa Sipley
21. Kelepi Tananoa
22. Shaun Lane
23. Tom Wright
24. Matthew Wright
25. Jonathan Wright
26. Brad Parker
27. Cameron Cullen
28. Manade Fainu
29. Tevita Funa
30. Joey Lussick

31. Lucas Price?
32. Peter Schuster?

PSS Ryan I took the liberty of replacing Jack G. with Hoppa as you had named him twice.

Looks like a solid squad alright, without any additional signings imo. I'd expect we'd be in the top 8 again.

I think you'll find the number is closer to six that haven't played First Grade. Unless I'm mistaken I give you Nos:
19, 20, 21, 23, 28 and 29, plus 31 and 32.

That's a "Lucky to scrape into 8th side" imo.
I feel there will be some significant additions to change that to a top 4 side.
I really, really hate dogging out Manly players and will not go as far as to give 100 reasons, but simply can't go with Brown in the 17.
Prefer this new Sipley, the Rabbits backrower, or hopefully after a good off season, big Paseka to make the impact required off the modern day bench players that get on - rip in - and change the games momentum in our favour.
Some will argue about versatility, but I think after the final squad is in place - prefer Hastings, Croker for this role.

I reckon letting Green go, who's experience and game control was probably one of the biggest contributing factor to DCE's fantastic season, makes predicting how we'll go next year impossible.

You're correct ... I am wrong, but I now make the total 5.

I missed Tom Wright, and forgot to add Hoppa when I changed him in.

Sipley has debuted for the Warriors. 31/32 not counting.

Sorry, make that 4 .... Kelipi (21) has also debuted.

It is a top 6 side all day everyday ... and one signing away from a top 4 team.

My random and rough assessment of our '18 squad (as it currently stands)

01. Tom Trbojevic ... will be better for the rep exp and maturity (5% improvement)
02. Jorge Taufua ... missed his go forward and finishing ... improves the team.
03. Brian Kelly ... will be better for the run and maturity (10/15% improvement)
04. Dylan Walker ... getting smarter .. will go good.
05. Akuila Uate ... no improvement needed ... goes ok.
06. Jackson Hastings ... answer is a turnip .. I have no idea.
07. Daly Cherry-Evans ... primed and experienced for a big one,
08. Darcy Lussick .... has to have a better year (20% improvement)
09. Apisai Koroisou ... growing all the time, service good (5% improvement)
10. Marty Taupau ... same ,same .. good enough.
11. Frank Winterstein ... now a league player (5% improvement)
12. Curtis Sironen ... a grown-up now, breakout year.
13. Jake Trbojevic .. will have grown with the rep exp.

14. Lewis Brown ... will be a casualty of our extra depth I think
15. Addin Fonua-Blake .. hopeful of a 5/10% improvement with his NZ call-up.
16. Lloyd Perrett ... young and was showing signs of improvement in '17
17. Jack Gosiewski ... No idea

18. Lachlan Croker ... No idea
19.Jamil Hopoate ... No idea
20. Toafofoa Sipley ..No idea
21. Kelepi Tananoa .. Like him as a 2nd row interchange .. has energy and attitude.
22. Shaun Lane ... If ... all I can say is IF.
23. Tom Wright ... Will get his chance.
24. Matthew Wright ... steady depth, has his moments. His best game was at 5/8.
25. Jonathan Wright... Can't see him anywhere near the squad.
26. Brad Parker ... Lose nothing with him on the field. Will go good with a chance.
27. Cameron Cullen .. not my cup of tea.
28. Manade Fainu ... Excellent potential
29. Tevita Funa ... Excellent potential
30. Joey Lussick .. will need a few injuries to get a chance.

PSS If you disagree with me ... you are obviously wrong.

The last part including that signing seems good - but that's an optimistic Top 6 call with that 17.

Agree, but with the same roster last year I thought 6-10.

And I can't see the sense of not being optimistic ... being miserable and pessimistic doesn't suit my complexion.
