The Bench

Anyone else finding it really strange that we have 3 back rowers on the bench when our starting back rowers are all 80 minute players.

Symonds and Hasson seemed to only get a run tonight because of injuries to Choc & Horo.

Buhrer came on in the first half to replace one of the props so one of the starting back rowers must have moved up to front row.

I can understand that Choc & Gift are 80 minute players but why Horo, why not rotate him with Symonds after say 20 to 25 minutes with instructions to rip and tear while he is out there.

Symonds form at the start of the year was fantastic but lately he seems to be way down on game time for such a good player.

Hasson plays up the middle, I think they are considering him as a prop. Symonds didn't get much game time. I struggle to work out our bench strategy sometimes.

We use Choc in the middle of the park to do some of the front row work. He handles it will but would like another big man to take the slack

Hasson and T red need more game time. Not sure how though. They were good tonight

But in saying that I think the bench were good tonight and had some positive impact

Which is why they should have been on sooner. Horo seemed to injure his arm and came off for Hasson but if Choc had not been injured Symonds would have replaced Horo and Hasson may have not got a run at all.
