I do wonder about the Dynamics of the team and if some of the off season moves have widened cracks?

Look at DCE. I've always supported him 100% but yesterday he was very poor. I do wonder if bringing back Foran may be in his eyes a FU moment. Sire on the outside it all looks happy but let's look at some facts.

Foray was Manlys first choice back in the backfilp days. Des is a huge Foran fan and always has been. Dce on 4 X the money for some pretty bad displays over last 12 months.

I think there were some major cracks in this playing group when Des took over from Twenty and while in that first year the winning papered over said cracks last year may have opened them up again.

AFB was shipped out pretty quick. Tom continually injured on 1 mil. Jake out of form and on 800k.

As I said winning makes those players on unders forget about the huge pay differences but when a team is getting slapped week in week out resentment can rise quickly.

Any thoughts?

Your pretty spot on unfortunately
Disorganised and worse still - disinterested
This is on the players, but also those they believe in...there seems no desire to bleed for the coach or staff and in fact, was a horrible opening game to watch
Hard to write off Des or Manly with key players out, but red flags all over the shop from that game

Watch the other top sides play. Us and quite a few others aren’t even in the same post code. It’s embarrassing the difference between the good and ordinary sides. Half the comp is not even remotely competitive with the speed of the game.

Roosters were classy but rusty. Lot of passes hitting the dirt etc and they still racked up 46.I do not even want to think what the scum would have inflicted on us.
A slow team like us just won’t cut it against quality opposition regardless. But throw in a bad attitude and you get what was dished up yesterday.

Agree. We are too slow and don't have the cattle to exploit the new rules and faster speed of the game. The game at the moment really suits Melbourne and Penrith and Roosters.

Yep but to their credit , and despite their obvious advantages, they adjusted quickly.
People are always quick to bag Ricky ( and I’ve been one of them ) but he was first to the party on this. He saw the writing on the wall and ditched the big guys way before anyone else. Titans paid 600k for Boyd. And he replaced them with mobile pommies like Bateman, Whitehead and Sutton. Sure he has big guys but they are all mobile and good laterally.
Penrith saw it early too. Youth and speed. Bellamy and Robinson of course worked it out after a short while.
We did nothing. Slow forwards and slow backs.
