We can only dream !

+ Des won't drop his toy boy in Bailey
+ Tony Williams will continue to get a run.
+ We won't be buying Cooper Cronk.
+ David Williams will be signing elsewhere.
+ Don't think Foran is over the line by a long way, and may be off as well.
+ Matai will be signing somewhere else very shortly.
+ B Stewart may only last a game or two...IF he is able to play for us.

Apart from these things....good team. More likely:-

01. Ben Farrar
02. Micheal Robertson
03. Dean Whare
04. Jamie Lyon
05. Tony Williams
06. Keiran Foran
07. Daly Cherry-Evans
08. Jason King
09. Matt Ballin
10. Brent Kite
11. Anthony Watmough
12. Shane Rodney
13. Glenn Stewart

14. Chris Bailey
15. George Rose
16. Matt Cross
17. Joe Galuvao (if he doesn't retire) If he does, the Buhrer or Lussick get a shot.

with Will Hopoate getting a run, and maybe our NYC 1/2 getting a shot if Cherry-Evans can't deal with the big boys.

Hodkinson - Bulldogs
Tasi - Roosters
Perry - St Helens
Matai - Sharks
Stewart - Retires (I really, REALLY hope not)

I'm kind of hoping something like this

1. B.Stewart
2. M.Robertson

6. K.Foran
7.
8. J.King
9. M.Ballin

11. A.Watmough
12. S.Rodney
13. G.Stewart

14. G.Rose
15. M.Cross
16. D.Harrison / J.Galavao
17. B.Farrar

I'm still not sure about the half back, I think something's going to happen here

1. Billy Slater
2. Darius Boyd
3. Greg Inglis
4. Willie Tonga
5. Israel Folau
6. Darren Lockyer
7. Johnathon Thurston
8. Matt Scott
9. Cameron Smith
10. Petero Civoniceva
11. Sam Thaiday
12. Nate Myles
13. Ash Harrison
14. Cooper Cronk
15. Nev Costigan
16. David Shillington
17. Dave Taylor

Untouchable, I'd say ;D  ;)

Where do you pluck David Williams elsewhere from Ryan ? He signed for 3 years last year. Also where do you pull the Stewart retirement from ? As each day passes I am more confident we will see Matai staying. This is where I see us for 2011

Stewart
Robertson
Matai
Lyon
Either Williams
Foran
Cherry
King
Ballin
Kite
Watmough
Rodney
Stewart

Farrar
Cross
Galuvao
Rose

Ryan you forgot that Ballin is signing elsewhere, Hoppa is going on a Mormon mission and Watmough is also retiring...

-Wheres wolfman going ?
-My thoughts are that matai will stay, he loves manly
-I must admitt that cronk was a dream
-Could not see manly losing Foran at all, theyve already lost Hodkinson, i would riot if Foran was to leave !!

Foran- you build the team around him-he ain't going anywhere.
Stewart-even if his legal issues and medical goes his way, how much mental impact will that have?...Who knows???...could go either way.

I share Ryans concern re Foran. WTF has stopped or prevented him from signing on the dotted line?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Easy hey!

AFAIK he has actually put pen to paper just not reported.

I am not in panic stations this has happened and been reported time and time again year after year.

Though it would make me feel better to have it confirmed

He's worth 50 to 80K more than Hodko - did he get 300K a season over 3 years. I think not.

I remember saying on MWSE that Hodkinsons departure was only going to play into Foran's hands, if he had not yet put pen to paper.
His value to the Sea Eagles has gone up by 25% now that we have lost a half.

Dude, I'm being 100% honest here that on one of The Fox Manly games this year, they mentioned Wolfman is off contract at 2010's end. If he's still on contract I'm pumped to be honest.

We seriously need speed in our backline again.

What I DO think, is Des and co. have to make a choice out of Farrar OR Bailey as our utility, and should let the other one go. My choice would be to keep Farrar.

We also need to get Tony Williams out of the backline...

BEST case:

01. Brett Stewart
02. Michael Robertson
03. Steve Matai
04. Jamie Lyon
05. David Williams
06. Keiran Foran
07. Daly Cherry-Evans

Where that leaves:-

Tony Williams
Dean Whare
Will Hopoate
Ben Farrar
Chris Bailey

is beyond me...

Maybe Matai is making way for Whare???

We are still going to have MASSIVE issues at 1/2 back though.

Am 99% sure that both Robbo and Wolf were off contract last year and both signed for another 3 years.

I honestly still have no issues with Tony Williams in the backline, he does some good work for us. None of our other wingers could have scored the try he did last weekend, and 5mins after that Souths made a long break and he managed to get back and stop Sutton passing and killed the movement

I think we signed Bailey for 3 years, this being year 2, I wouldn't be sad to see him leave at years end and for Farrar to remain

DCE, I am quite prepared to give the bloke his chance. I didn't think he was up to it in his 20s days, but have read some good reports on what he is doing for Sunshine Coast, and Des and co must think he will turn out ok to sign him up again

Matai, I just have this gut feel from what I read he will be with us next season, it would take a massive offer for him to move on

Agreed Kiwi, Big Tony won us that game last week.  He scored one and certainly stopped Sutton from either passing or running them in a try.  He did good.  DCE should certainly be given a chance.
