Systems v weapons

Top teams have top systems and then there is the rest.

Turnover of coaches, long contracts on spine players plays its part but we always seem to be intent on playing our style despite its limited success. And almost openly proud of it

So does our leadership group run this groundhog day scenario as new coaches buy in to established leaders ideas , does our group hold too much influence

My understanding frog and rubes are in this group while many question there place in the team , i love the frog but his support from this group is well publicised

They are questions . Would enjoy other peoples thoughts

Should we invest more in systems because if you invest in weapons that retire, or become injured you end up with not much . Coaches play short games because of contracts and we have been shortsighted for too long, surely the established playing group they could offer more in terms of systems that work for the whole side.

Comments in the manly way suggest they wont be forthcoming this season ,

Are we stubborn, or just not interested

Seriously ... what is your sauce or logic for this masterpiece of self delusion. Don't know a whole lot about Seibold ... but what I have seen is that he isn't the type to follow old methods blindly ... in fact, everything I have seen indicates that he is exactly the opposite ..

But does the leadership group favour froggy, and how much weight does that carry, seems a valid forum question . I love the frog but does our group have say in recruitment. Many believe waddell and burbo is nepotism,

Why though , what prompted by disillusion. because our results and similar play style, with different coaches over an extended period seem eerily similar and eerily short of expectations for this supposed premiership window lol. I see your onboard with the window theory

look mate, i see things differently to you but not differently enough from many other fans really , im just more passionate and it bugs you, but thats your journey dude, but im done explaining myself to the dude chucking stones. Enjoy your season

I think the style of footy they are playing is to compliment the overall strengths of the squad, particularly going to the edges early with those shifts. Plenty of speed on the edges and trying to take advantage of this, does lead to errors and poor field position at times though. If you look at the Panthers as a comparison they stick to their system with the back five doing the hard carries until the reach their 40 meter line, less chances of making an error and having poor field position.


The leadership group I think is made up of Jake, Turbo, DCE and Haumole.

I do get the feeling by some of the most recent signings and extensions there is a conscious bias coming from the leadership in retaining some players, Waddell as an example getting a three year deal for a backup player is hard to fathom.

We all see something or read something and we all come to different conclusions feathered friend
My perspective of your post is that you are a deep thinker
Deep thinkers are often curious and analytical and look for conclusions
There are many hidden agendas within us all and if we dig deep enough they can be found
