The squad was picked for the future. It would stick together. This was the best 17. Hayne was a 5/8. It would have strong defenders because defence wins Origin. The players would be specialists - only picked where they normally play...

His selections for Origin 2 are almost the opposite:
The squad is picked just to win this next match. He doesn't care that Hopoate won't be around for the next two seasons. There are wholesale changes, with two players dropped. Players have now been picked out of position ie. Gallen at front row, Gidley at hooker, Hoppa at centre, Hayne at wing. We no longer need strong defenders, this team is all about mobility and scoring tries.

Stuart has totally panicked, and he is not to be believed. Lewis, Gidley, Hayne and Chock should have always been in Origin 1. What's he got against Idris? I congratulate Hoppa on the selection, but question the logic.

Choc and Gallen will have to work their arses off in defense. I hope he comes through OK. Couldn't care less who wins this, all I care about is Manly players getting through injury free. Stuart is an idiot and a very poor coach.

The real question is 'Did anyone think anything different would happen with Stuart as coach?'

I mean I hope we win, but it will be in spite of Stuart not cause of him. However at least this team for game 2 is much closer to the team we should've had game 1.

yea i understand your frustration, it seems the loyalty has gone out the door. This state against state is bull.........t it brings the worst out of people and is a money making racket.I sometimes question the logic.Thats what it is though. Also how many teams are out there and how many players have they to choose from, its not as if there is no one available.Dont get me wrong i am not having a cry here but this is how it is and i agree with you tatally it seems its a panic to save face because of the preassure.
