What's doing with this? Medically cleared to resume training..... Just dropped on espn league app.

If true just means we know nothing till he either runs out or retires.

Roll up roll up for the best merry go round in town....

Haha.
Club said yesterday that he wasn't medically cleared to play/ train.

Who knows anymore ?

I'm very happy to hear that tbh - glimmer of hope he just might play a game or two at some stage. Be nice to see him on the park one more time to get an appropriate sendoff from the Brookie faithful! Anyone got a link to this report?? All I see is 'not cleared'..

Yeah, this is great news for our club moving forward and rebuilding our squad...NOT. It's dead set comedy corner at this joint

Why? Are you suggesting decisions about whether he is medically fit to play should be made by someone other than the Doctor.

From a squad building POV, who is available now that you would spend his $700k on as opposed to waiting til the end of the year when we will know more about whether we need a back or a forward.

Yeah everyone wants to see the 70% Snake go around one more time until he lets a bomb bounce, the opposition scores and it's all DROP HIM TO BLACKTOWN, THIS CLUBS A JOKE, SACK BARRETT/BOZO, ZORBA BLAH BLAH

Whilst I would lay odds that you are 97% correct in your assumption of Snakes probable playing potential .... until he actually plays (or not) it still an assumption.

PS (we will get the sack Baz/Bozo regardless, appears pathological for some)

Yep Woodsie there is nothing surer.

No, I am suggesting it should have been decided long ago, therefore giving us opportunity in the market 3-4 months ago. Stewart has been saying opening he is basically done playing. I am not saying it is the club's fault at all (although they have made their fair share of dumb decisions since the Penns have been driving the joint) NRL, club whoever is responsible. We were close to signing a Panther back (rumour) that would have sured up our backline had we been able to make space (Matai/Stewart not there). What I know is it has disrupted our rebuild...BIG TIME

Agree, would have been great to have been decided either way months ago, but having spend a fair bit of time around the medical staff of footy clubs, I can tell you the doctor will make the decision when he is ready and not one second earlier.

Wally got rubbed out of a Roo tour pretty quick I recall. There is a lot of politics (insurance clutter) to cut through Woodsie, it's all about $$$ and who will be liable! Deals will be cut either way

Yeah, but the one person in all of it whose professional integrity and reputation (not to mention malpractice lawsuit) is on the line is the specialist. And he listens to no club, player or insurance company when it comes to ruling a player fit to play.

Ruling a player "out" can be argued as erring on the side of caution, ruling a player "in" is a matter of professional competence.

might not be anyone of note,
but they could renegotiate one or a few players contracts with extra cash this year to enable them to free up money for next year

I don't want Snake to play, we're much better off with Turbo. Matai I'm still holding out hope for.

Sadly I don't think we'll see either running out in a maroon and while jumper again. And as much as we wish it was different, I can't argue that going forward we're definitely better off with Tommy at fullback.

Last year we weren't better with TT, his organizational skills/experience were non existent and the was a marked improvement when Brett came back.

I would still back Brett to deliver a better defensive unit
