Never before has our game been more political than now. Run by Tv networks and the cheesiest wannabe polly a sport has seen. We shake our heads and get a vein in our head we could tow a car with weekly , at the refs incompetence, the blunder bunker, and basic rules and nuiannces of the game. It rarely settles down until tues or weds when the new round is announced and the fans return to hope, possabilities and important match ups. Game on bitches. This week is ours
So what if the refs 5 days of fan fury really just stops everyone from looking at the real picture. Inequality. Now the silvertail folk are used to underhanded agendas so i presume we are always on the lookout for a knobgobbler in goats clothes, and are well versed in the uneven playing field i speak of. No news to you. I get that .the draw, 3rd party trough fest, etc etc etc
But as footy fans collectively not silvertails we blame the refs, the boss, the cameras. Its easy to dismiss a refs mistake as being part of footy, history and will happen again repeatedly.Its easy to dismiss the manly fans as whiney arsed, and let the rest agree. But if all clubs fans were truely aware of the basic inequality in a competetion whose catch try is integrity integrity integrity well they may have to find another expensive way to load the dice
Political environments the world over regularly keep the poor distracted with issues of little importance while they pants them. Generally this tactic works best if the media or in this instance the games partners are on board or buy into the scheme.So what if the refs are actually part of us all doing a september nudie run, the bosses are smarter than we think but much more swarmy ,(I know is that possible )and as long as we continue to roast cecchin and archer we are wasting especially good venting time on the wrong targets and confirm ourselves as dumbass league fans
The billy slater love fest came in a week when 2 new commissioners were appointed to the board. this recieved little press as we were distracted by billys admission he forgot how to do his ABC. Can anyone confirm he knew before that. Pretty sure had they not been appointed within a few days the clubs could have forced there own reps on the board and seized a little more power in the stuggle that will one day become superleague the sequel.
Pretty sure gollum is cast as playing a leading role in that sequel
