I'm a bit surprised he hasn't been overtaken yet for rep teams or even at the Storm.

Yes he's good but why haven't others copied and surpassed him?

He has many qualities, such as duplicity - multiple contracts - and supreme smugness. But on the credit side, tough, incredibly resilient, unreal consistency, super competitive- though I suspect intelligence is his greatest asset, or at least footy intelligence.

The one time I recall watching him live he was simply brilliant (unfortunately, it was against Manly at Brookie after we got off to a flier).

Oh well I guess he is probably a great player, no other explanation I can think of. Certainly he is clearly the best of the so-called big 3.

The nrl have agreed to buy camerons second golden boot for 1 million and has stated this coin will not be included in the cap. Currently 3 of smiths player agents are fighting over which contract it will be included in.

To me, he's the face of everything that's wrong with Rugby League.

We can thank him and Bellamy for the wrestle fest of a sport we have now. In his career league has gone from teams trying to beat each other by playing better football than the other team to trying to out wrestle and 'manage' the game better to get a result.
His smug face is all over the RLPA demands that pretend to be good for the game but to me just look like a greedy grab for more player $$$ at the expense of other areas that need it.

He's the face of NRL and media bias for a select few that can do no wrong and get arse kissed and gushed all over. Seriously, the media wank fest over this guy the last few years has been sickening. It's like he's the leader of a cult and all these wankers are blind worshipers.
Add that stupid pre season game next year. Just beyond ridiculous. He should have been embarrassed and said no. The best paid player, that gets the extra 90k origin pays each year and a guaranteed high paying job in the media waiting for him in retirements gets to keep the profits from a nothing pre season game? Bet the other 32 players love putting their bodies and careers on the line so Cam can add another few hundred K to his millions.
