I was at the game and was wondering why Shannon Boyd wasn't walked?

I thought it was the rule that if you punch someone you are off for the remainder of the match?

It was a clear punch that Nate sat down for so the video ref could view it. Manly even got a penalty for it.

ref's called it 'lashing out'

so when you hit a manly player it's just lashing out so no penalty needed.

Of course, everyone else in the footy world knows it was a punch.

he should have been binned simple as that.
