Another terrific launch at The Collaroy all players/staff were in attendance except Curtis Sironen from what I could see. Mike Goldman was the MC.

In summary;

1/ Great to see plenty of legends in attendance headed by Arko, Beaver, Igor, Krilich, Gifty, Mark Bryant, Wok Bulmer
2/ Des was quite upbeat around the season - called out the playing group for the work over the off season, the trust and commitment they have for each other. My sense he believes we can gives the comp a real crack but he said say first few weeks are tough
3/ DCE and Jake spoke - Jake needs to see a surgeon to confirm if he can play Round 1. He has his ‘fingers crossed’ that he will be available
4/ Edwin Iape knee is in a brace and is out for 4 weeks
5/ New Manly Forever video launched it looks great again
6/ 4 Pines is releasing a Sea Eagles beer soon, branded Manly cans will be available at bottle shops across the North Shore
7/ Other than I have a hangover so will sign off until after a greasy lunch

The build up to this season appears better than any other I can remember. Perhaps it's just the club is now getting better coverage through having a silvertailian involved. Perhaps the excitement that we can win it all is there. Perhaps the club is just getting more professional. What ever it is WELL DONE.
