SCG dangerous surface

Them / They
How embarrassing for professional sport to haave to play on such a dangerous field.
Will the SCG trust compensate injured players?

It got to the point in the final minutes of the match that referee Glen Jackson told ground staff: “This is dangerous, this needs to be fixed.” smh.com.au

I heard Alan Jones is going to rebuild some decrepid old field somewhere so the RaRaas get a new stadium ... I wonder who is paying for it?

The problem is mostly from the scrums. The current trend for quick draining easily maintained surfaces means they have sandy bases. They just won't hold up to the forces generated by rugby scrums. Has happened on plenty of other pitches too. Won't be a problem for the rugby league cuddles that masquerade as scrums. Swans haven't had an issue with the surface in over 30 years. If the Tahs don't like it, they can go out to Concord Oval again

Wasn't there once a nice-looking stadium next to the SCG that hosted football matches without any issues?

Give it about 5 minutes and the Swans/AFL will click into full scale cry baby mode.

The SCG had league & union played on it for 80 years without the stuff ups we saw last night.

SCG was like playing on concrete.

Alan Jones wants to pull the scg down too, and replace it with an extensive rabbit warren of dressing rooms and team shower facilities.

The poor surface is his way of showing it needs demolition.

Buzzcock will let us know the SCG was much safer...

He'd probably claim he could see the game better from the SCG Members Bar than he could from the Jane Try Stand.....

I've been in that bar on one of the old SFS/SCG tours they used to run. You can't see much of the ground unless you're watching one of the televisions in there.

Over to you stupid ayres and your stupid stadium policy - do your research mate and you might start to understand what everyone else already knows - it won’t work - having multiple different sports playing repeatedly out of a handful of stadiums = failure
