I would take Ryan Hoffman as first try scorer in SOO for years only to be disappointed everythime. And I think I would be disappointed again if he came to us.
On another note I had Snake to score first try scorer into him to score 2 tries in 2012. I can't remember much else after he scored the second.

I wouldn't mind if Bozo was more interested in Jack De Belin then the Hoff. Similarly on the outer at his current club and at 25 he should just be entering his prime. Siro 2.0.

Is this de Belin related to Fred de Belin?

Fred is/was a former international with either Balmain or Canterbury, in the early post-War years.

Would have been handy as an old head in the forwards 15/16/17. More value than other similar acquisitions...

2018 is too late. We will have no shortage of forward leaders on multi year contracts - Darcy, Marty and Jake with another season under the belt

Agreed!! 2017 we need a first rate hooker and prop IMO.. Aaron Woods would be the perfect pick up. With all the youngins and cheapies we have picked up recently, and with Snake, Matai and Lawrence off the books next year, A Woods should be the primary target. He's only 25 so has 6 good years or so ahead of him...

It would take a lot to pry Woods away from the tiges - they will pay him what he wants and he's captain.

He also seems the kind of guy to take pride in the leadership role and the future success of the club. He gave everything whilst the tiges were a rabble, still became a mainstay in rep teams and has helped turn the team around. Only a management ****up will turn him away.

We either need a mercenary, discontent, or financial squabbles to land an established rep quality prop.
