The opening 10min was so out of character for us, even allowing for the avalanche of ball that the Chooks had. Anyways, we've got the Faders in 2 weeks, and back to our usual trademark aggressive starts.Typical Manly performance. Courageous, big effort, big hits, but let in too many soft tries. Premiership teams dont beat themaelves. Roosters are the most talented team in the comp but they beat themselves too often.
To be honest the tries we scored were more Chooks errors than anything.
We got rid of Parker then we bring in Ben. Ben and Jake are so blunt in attack. Aloia passed his prime. Paseka, Sipley play one good game out of four.
Lawton should’ve rushed Tupou to try stop the chooks last try and he should’ve done better to kick the ball on the final play.
yeah don’t think so champ, Fuk the bears!Watching repeats of Bears games on VHS tapes I think.
Thought Lehi was out for 4 to 5 wks. Hope you're right BD.Haumole, Hoppa and Crocker all back for Raiders.
Koula the next week.
There will need to be an explanation why Jennings wasn't sin binned. I await it from Uncle Nick.Judiciary news: Corey Waddell
Sea Eagles forward Corey Waddell has pleaded guilty to a Grade 1 High Tackle - Careless charge following last night's match against the Sydney Roosters.www.seaeagles.com.au
really? We have a lot on here who have expressed how proud they are and others with outrage of the team's performance. The 1st 20 minutes showed up what semi final intensity is about. Lessons to be learnt and a couple of weeks to regroup. The fat lady isn't singing yet.
The sin bin is only mandatory when a Manly player commits the offenceOur defence in the first 25 minutes was horrible. Yes their first try was off an obvious forward pass and they had two lucky ricochets. Thats 18 points. I can never understand how a shoulder to the head resulting in a penalty and a player having an HIA and then ruled out of a game is not a sin ban. It should be mandatory. However two of their tries came from very poor defence. Fortunately our completion rate was good but defence wins premierships. I thought Burbo was safe selection in the centres, boy was I wrong.
Yes really, but I'm only a supporter.really?
Manly have **** the bed every year since 2013 in big matches and finals football
It felt like October 2013 all over again. Teddy to Suaalii = Maloney to Mini. And how Turbo’s pass was forward I don’t know. Was in Bay 29 with the faithful and at least the boys made it close (and preserved our good f/a). On a positive note my first time at new SFS. Such a good place to watch footy! Our defence in the first 25 minutes was horrible. Yes their first try was off an obvious forward pass and they had two lucky ricochets. Thats 18 points. I can never understand how a shoulder to the head resulting in a penalty and a player having an HIA and then ruled out of a game is not a sin ban. It should be mandatory. Below par for me, getting pushed off by Sam Walker was an ordinary miss, he copped a cork in the shin / ankle area, if you look at his form the last couple of weeks and compare yesterday.Aloiai below par? What game were you watching mate. He was on one leg most of the game & still gave it all!
Where’s the explanation and apology for the BS you posted last night, actually the BS you always post?So Jennings charged and 2 matches. So where is the explanation and apology for the massive fukup from bunker clown and whistle klown for not putting that dogsh*t cu*t in the bin at least. It was a clear shoulder to head should've been sent off.
Bully reminds me a lot of Jamie Buhrer - he’s really come on this season. I thought Brooks had a good game too, and he can defend.Sure that it is fixable but can not continue with those defensive shortcomings in the first 20 or so and expect to win footy games especially against the better standard sides .
Luck and good fortune working both ways eventually but when Manly finally knuckled down and kept the good completion rates going and even with a depleted lineup , clearly showed again that they can match it with any leading side in the comp .
Just thought that Burbo would be more suited to the backrow for better balance there , not so much to be not suited to a centre role . Did show not the best option there against established and above average outside backs but still showed quite a bit of grit last night and would have him in the backrow with Haumole .
Turbo went O K with limited opportunities , Brown and Bully just offering so much off the bench.
Looks like the best 9 combo is going to be a hopefully fully recovered Croker and Gordy .
Simpkin plays a steady type role but if last night is any guide in a more up tempo game , some limitations as well .
Alioai continues to be a bit of a liability with his injury prone situation . If a continuing problem , maybe only option Tent starting with Sipley and then Jake , Bully and Waddell sharing a middle role when Brown comes on though then would need really big minutes from Jake ,Bully and Brown on the park and Waddell not the most notable impact type player despite being a real trier .
Talau did show that he is able to stride out , no question Haumole could have probably swung the match Manly "s way if he was playing
Koula and the continued presence of Garrick and Saab would have made a real difference but the makeshift backline last night can take some real credit .
Fell short last night for a range of reasons but also showed that they deserve to be a finals side and competing with the best sides at the business end of the season
really?

Agree, especially after Jennings copped a 2wk suspension. There will need to be an explanation why Jennings wasn't sin binned. I await it from Uncle Nick.
Can’t wait for Croker to return (Michael Crocker was the dog shot not even penalised on Brett Stewart in the 2007 GF).Thought Lehi was out for 4 to 5 wks. Hope you're right BD.
Like your your enthusiasm Niallcc but not your comparison. Lyon and Matai were virtual demigods back then. Koula and Garrick aren't in their league. Anyway, welcome aboard Niallcc. We all know the rank injustice of 2013 but I think that was end of an era that began in 2003 with 3 years in the ‘merger’ wilderness and a core group. Since the 70s (and with the exception of that decade), we have one comp per decade - albeit coached by ex-players (can Seibold break new ground?). If we can get the right players on the field at the right time I think we are a good chance to continue that tradition. Garrick and Koula remind me a lot of Killer and Skivvy. We missed both last night.
Agree, and not even a penalty given back then. Can’t wait for Croker to return (Michael Crocker was the dog shot not even penalised on Brett Stewart in the 2007 GF).
