Realistically, what are our chances of keeping Hoppa and Tommy 'the terminator' Talau?

We just resigned koula for like 3 years I believe? Someone may have to correct me on that. Garrick is signed up long term too. So what chances are we of upgrading our two best backs Hoppa and Terminator?

Talau may well be difficult to extend beyond 2025 with the form he is in and his current contract worth, based on this season’s form I would think he would be around the 600K a year going forward if he holds his form.

Lehi is signed up until 2026, Garrick, Turbo, Jake are off contract at the same time, Koula has a player option for 2027, I think Lehi stays no problem unless they don’t pay him his worth.

The club will try and keep Lehi
But as we know contracts don't mean much anymore
Turbo is the the factor in all this though unfortunately he suffers from a lot of injuries he may not last more than a couple of years so who knows what the future holds

Jake will be 33 then.

I think the players should learn from manly players that recently left …. They may be able to get more money elsewhere… but those players that recently left are now playing in crappy teams.

Just sayin’

600k for Talau? I don't think so, time will tell. Lehi is an absolute must. If Koula doesn't show much improvement in 2025 it may be worth the punt to move him on, I'd prefer he kick on at manly.

The back 5 in 2025 is below, perhaps some positional changes.
Tommy turbo
Saab
Garrick
Talau
Hoppa

Koula to apply the pressure.

Why are you worrying about Manly's salary cap? Better to pose the question to Easts who have the NRL's best roster yet still signed rugby's best player and million dollar Fifita (before he backed out). Or Canterbury, who have had to pay overs for most of their roster and yet are linked to any decent player who comes on the market. . .
The NRL is a closed shop when it comes to a salary cap. Why don't they have a public list of each club's roster? By being secretive it invites speculation that all clubs are adjudged equally, except some clubs are more equal than others (with accreditation to George Orwell).

Sign them all and let injuries sort it out. It's easy. Brooks is on 600. DCE isn't on big money for the half he is (even though every half wit ex player and journo in the game overlooks the fact his backflip deal in perpetuity ended last year and he's on about 800) Jake and Tom will take massive unders to stay with their bro who won't go anywhere else.

Fainus Gonski (though Samuela is looking okay) lodge got injured so can't realistically ask for massive upgrade, brown won't expect too much an upgrade himself after the club showed him an opportunity.

Aloia can take it or leave it, though is much better suited to second fiddle, and Sipley can get the same or look elsewhere.

Falaoulo can stay get a bit more Ray will stay for the same, Parker and Woods retired and Lawton is off, Paulo is handy but not essential.

Paseka is great but not on Haas, AFB or Penrith Prop money?

And Schuster is Wayne's project now.

It's a squad game now people and you can't plan to have five gun outside backs and four two great front rowers anymore.

I'd say, and he's only just come good in the spot and would be safer from the push out the door had he played wing all year, that Garrick would be the logical one to drop out, but then he has experience and age, and that's essentially to the dynamic too.
