With the announcement that we've signed the Dallai's assistant coach, what chance that Reg follows him ?

In my view, he wouldn't be the worst signing as long as he didn't think he could command stupid money.

We signed Sharon and the forehead, so RCG would definitely be an upgrade on those guys.

He's definitely not marquee anymore but I wouldn't hate it if it happened.

We wouldn’t have signed Aloiai on big money. Especially the multi year deal we gave him. Makes no sense for us to dangle the multi year carrot unless it was for a discounted deal.
We are definitely in the market for a starter but who knows who it will be

Doubt if this will eventuate, mainly finance and cap wise and still have not made a call on Lodge.
Already made a move with Jass and possibly Chee Kam and maybe if he was not already on a fairly substantial salary [ R C G ] may have come into calculations but the more interest would still seem to revolve around Ladge.

It's been said before that he's a bit of an odd cat. Perhaps that mo says it all. But he's a rep player, played in GFS, I'd say age wise still in his prime.

In 6 again footy he's almost the proto prop.
His physique more like a back rower, Bit leaner, mobile, bit of pace as opposed to just throwing around bulk or weight.

We absolutely need a left back rower rower more. But more than one way to make it all work.

There is no guarantee we would pry a quality edge into our team, there is a reason we were paying the Shoe those sort of numbers for that spot.

Add a rep quality forward when you can, the rest always sorts itself out. And there is plenty of time to sort it out.

Happy with RCG but on a realistic deal.
He apparently wants three years: I'd agree to it on the proviso that Manly has the option on the final year, not him.
He's reportedly on $750,000 a season. That's too much imo. I'd offer him $600,000 to $650,000 per season for two years. Then, if Manly wants him for the final year it would come with a 20% increase in salary ie. $720,000-$740,000 for that season.
If another club want to pay more then so be it. I can't envisage Canterbury having any more Cap space than us. It would come down to Souths or Wests.
I think we'd be a realistic chance of recruiting him.
