Anybody having a punt tomorrow. The start of the autumn carnival.

I've put one bet on thus far... I have a multi of Light Fantastic in the Cadbury into Miss Finland in the Australian Cup.

Light Fantastic is probably the riskiest favourite of the day as it's only had the 4 starts I believe but just from an article I read in the paper from the trainer it gives me confidence. They claim he'd be racing in the newmarket if he wasn't a maiden when noms opened for the Newmarket and also the trainer says it is training fantastic and finished the last 600m in training in 31secs with the trainer saying it still has 4 - 5 lengths in it. The one to watch will be Marching i'd say.

In the Australian I have gone with Miss Finland. I know she has been out of sorts for a while now but I'm hopeful that she can carry the form of her last 400 last weekend into this one. With Craig Williams back on board I'm hopeful he'll keep her closer to the leaders than Arnold did last weekend and if she finishes as she did last weekend no one in this field will finish ahead of her.

That's the only bet I have right now but i'm sure to put on a few more on saturday. I'm still tossing up whether racing to win can beat Paratroopers.

If anyone manages to get $2 for Weekend Hussler gobble it up. He won't lose.

Scenic Rule - Race 8 at Eagle Farm looks good too.

Best of luck to anyone having a go tomorrow.

Does anyone actually enjoy just watching horses race?
I do. I actually put more money on getting what I believe are favorable odds on NRL games than I do with horses. But I would happily watch a top racing clash without money on.

Weekend Hussler is an outstanding horse and proved it last race. No value of course but I would watch the race to see if any of the others come good.

I don't have a high opinion of Miss Finland as she keeps letting folks down. I'd rather put something small on Casino Prince at 20+ to 1, but good luck Nutz.

I do, I love it. I can go to the races and not have a punt all day. I can sit at home and just watch it on tele too. I have always been around horses though, my dad trained a few top line trotters in his day and as you all know I have been involved in thoroughbreds and will be again in the not too distant future.

Nutz, my friend has a horse in the Sires Produce tomorrow. Its called The Tiger. is only having its second start and its a pretty hot field, but at its first start The Tiger ran second to something that killed them in similar quality last week. If its long enough ill have a crack. Would need 10's or more. Corey Brown on board but has drawn 10 in 12 horse field so might need some luck. Flemington is a big track though so should be able to stay out of trouble.

Apart from that, I think Light Fantsatic will come unstuck against Playwright. Playwright is something special.

Arapaho Miss should **** in, however you always have to be careful of Zarita.

In the Newmarket its very hard to go past the Hussler. Swick is well weighted and could be good value.

The run of Princess Coup last start couldnt have been more impresssive and she has a mortage on the Cup. Think you have done your money there mate. I expect Miss Finland to be retired after Saturday when she finishes well down the track. She is not the horse she was 12 months ago.

I havent been watching Sydney form lately but will have a look tomorrow.

next meet at moonee valley clon.......almost stumbling distance from my place.

Oh and Phlegmington is about 5 minutes drive.

Well, I ended up killing it even though Miss Finland was bitterly disappointing again. Picked up Von Costa De Hero at $5.70, O'crickey at $9.50 and I gave you guys the tip on Scenic Rule. It saluted at $9.90.

Also had $20 on Magnus to place, ran second paying $3.30.

If you think Playwright is something special, Clon. Have a look at Light Fantastic. From a maiden win at Kyneton to a group 1 win at flemington in the space of 3 weeks or something.

Can't wait to see Weekend Hussler and Light Fantastic go head to head.

Can't say I'd watch it on TV but going to the races to see it live is something to do at least once in a lifetime I'd reckon.
