How good is it to be a Manly supporter in Qld. today?
Ive just worked out a rotation for my Manly jerseys so I can wear all three this week, one per day, culminating in the Grand Final! just about to start sms-ing some Brocs fans also.
I will be making a special trip to my mad Bronco supporting butcher at the shopping centre this morning. Then off to Brisbane Casino for an afternoon of debauchery
Very glad I left my Manly scarf hanging over the computer at work for all the Broncos fans to walk past on Monday morning! We've got it over them for at least a year now, maybe more! Bwahahaha!
Love it lads gonna be a fun week in brisbAne
I moved up to Qld mid year , and it really sucked being so far away from Brookie . This week is goona be special . especially at work !!!!!!
Still recovering & have no voice but what a f**king game.
I feel your pain, me and a few of my mates were doing our best darren lockyer voices by the end of the night.
we drove around the neighbourhood in coorparoo beeping the horn after the win could see a few game bbqs happening, made special stops for them yelling out manly manly manly
Wore the Manly shirt today to the shopping centre. You should have seen the stares I got from people. If looks could kill, I would have been dead. But none of them could come up and say how much they hate Manly. They can't because we are TOO GOOD!!!! Andy1972 Manly Forever.
Generally I am more low-key in my work response after a win. You see I like to collect the 'You're on Sea Eagles Turf!' coasters whenever I am down at Brookie, so when the guys arrive at work on Monday, they find a complimentary drink coaster under their cup or water bottle on their desk.
Ask him if he's got any horse meat.
The Horse meat is past its used by date.
For some strange reason no one would talk to me at work this morning.....
I've got a ex police chaser that is done up in all the Manly gear, including EAGLEZ number plates. She got a real good wash this morning and has been cruising around town blowing away every Bronco supporter car i can find. I've been beeping and waving to all the Bronco supporters i know and have lost count of the amount of middle fingers i've received. It's good to be the king.
Yeah, we did something similar. This afternoon, I wore my new Manly jersey to the shopping centre up here in Pialba at Hervey Bay and my other half wore her Manly shirt. We didn't seem to get any response from anybody either. We didn't see any other Manly supporters around but did spot a reddish coloured Commodore station wagon in the car park flying a Manly flag behind the driver's door.
I've got the ute and trailer pimped up with everything Manly. Got plenty of response..mostly go manly or go the eagles. Big Mauri dude came at me at Bunnings carpark..I thought..****..here we go!:s...nothing of the sort..."Go the Eagles bro" and a huge (unexpected) high five. (nearly broke me bloody wrist!)
Yep enjoyed strolling through the shops in me Manly kit today... More flat glares than smiles from the locals LOL. They could not imagine the immensity of the f**k I didn't give
It's great stuff isn't it......I am wearing Manly gear to work ALL week and will happily be parading around Queen Street Mall
Not as good as it is to be a Manly supporter absolutely anywhere else in Australia.
