Another good win to the Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles in the final round of the regular season.  That’s 8 straight wins in a row.  Their win today also puts them into third spot in the QLD Intrust Super Cup Competition which from memory gives them a home semi-final.

Great . . .
can they spare some players?

I doubt it.  They were down 8 regulars today apparently through injuries or being called up for Manly.

They will be Saturdays game on ABC up here

That's good. Something to watch on Saturday afternoon. :D

Mackay had some very BIG boppers but S Coast S E, handled them with ease. Because of the win, SCSE play Mackay again with the home game next sat. It does look promising to get to the G Final again.

They have been on such a roll after a terrible start. I can see Dan and the Qld contingent heading down for the GF again!

Excerpt from the Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles News:

Hi All!

[glow=yellow,2,300]Sea Eagles Blow Cutters Away[/glow]

The Sea Eagles has put itself into a great position to repeat last year’s title triumph after securing third spot yesterday on the back of a 40 – 12 thrashing of the Mackay Cutters.  It is the Sea Eagles eighth win in a row.

The win has set up a rematch with the sixth-placed Cutters this Saturday at Stockland Park in the opening week of the Intrust Super Cup Finals.  The televised main game starts at 2.00pm!

Head Coach Brandon Costin said he was particularly pleased with how well his side defended numerous Cutters’ raids.  “They had a really good wind behind them (in the second half) and we made some uncharacteristic errors when we should’nt have,” he said.

“Regardless of win, lose or draw, there was things we wanted to achieve today and keeping them to 12 points was one of them and that was great.   We’d be naive to think there’s not bigger and better things coming next week.”

Mark Page scored three tries with Tyrone Coppedge, Kyle Lodge, Simon Allen and Phil Morwood each scoring one try.  Dennis Sandow converted 6 goals.

In the other semi-finals, Souths Logan (1) plays Norths (2) at Davies Park on Sunday and the Northern Pride(4) tackles Wynnum Manly (5).

FOGS: LOST – 18 – 10        V Ipswich Jets

Yes it was a great win, and to top it off the club gave out free cups of strawberries and cream to the spectators, most delicious.
Thank you for a good arvo at the footy SCSE
