Pre Game Thread .. Manly V Bulldogs

This is probably one of the most important games we have played since our loss to South’s in the prelim final of 2021.
We use the MIGOTY abbreviation often , and for many , every game is one of these.
BUT, the affect on the group , and the fans IF we win will be immense.
They’ll be primed , we need to be primed even more.
Home ground is a huge advantage.
Bring it home boys.

If Manly get their defence in order , go a long way to ensuring a win . Certainly have the attack and can only be boosted with Turbo 's hopeful solid return . Not much of an edge on them last season and a couple of more high profile recruits to boost them but signs are there for an improved and more competitive Manly . Every chance to get the better of them if things click into place with the best available line up and right structures .
Well it's definitely the MIGOTYSF. I have a feeling we might be utilising this abbreviation on multiple occasions this season. Maybe even on October 1st. Stranger things have happened in the NRL....

very big moments for our club. very important game with bye, 2 points and a chance to regroup the following week
big expectations on both clubs for different reasons in this game so they will be primed
i didnt think we were have a horrible season last year until the jersey saga.
injuries were a big part of our mid table possy and not enough recognition of overachieving the year earlier
currently see us a a mid tier team with promising youth and a superstar in tom
good early form or more importantly a good early tally of competition points will ease the pressure of the whole leadership group on and off the field. its important for the whole club to distract the media and internal factions so we can STAY united as a group. keep the finger pointing to a minimum
the coaches need to keep the changeroom completely to turn this around and anyone who rocks the boat needs to be punted and quick smart. rebuilds start with foundations

Hope they keep Perham at fullback.
Pangai Jnr is injured and out for a few weeks. Not sure if that helps or hinders them. However if he is 'on' he can be damaging, so on balance, probably a bonus for Manly.

Game one is a real opportunity for the Manly pack to make a statement.
He was the difference last round of last season, offloading at will, he killed us in that game. Glad he's out..
And don’t they need to , they were largely ineffectual in the second half of season 22.

I, and from comments other Silvertails, are very pleased with your winning of hearts and minds program ... getting in past stars to give the current crop an understanding of the history of our great club, and the role they have in adding the next chapter is excellent .
But before game one ... can you please look up the term "fortress Brookvale" ... take 17 copies of the description ... take one copy per player .... and ram it up their clackers with extreme force ...

It’s virtually a decade now since we’ve been able to call it that.
Recently we’ve won more away than at home ( although I have no stats to prove that ) or at least it seems that way.
Well, it's time to bring it back ...
Can’t disagree
Last year it was 6 wins from 7 games before jersey gate. Our only loss was the Cowboys capitulation.
