This about bang on IMO.

Though I can see the arguement for Bully off the bench where he has such great impact.

That said I'd be rotating Aloiai and Toff and then rotating Brown and Bully so we always have 1 more mobile prop on the field
Good idea rather than running 2 slow mids at same time. Brown is best coming off the bench so I think @Ryan is spot on start Aloiai and Bullemore. Of course we all know it won't happen. Makes too much sense for spoony.

Turbo will be named at centre. Who drops out ? I hope it's Garrick or Saab and not Taulau. I'd prefer to see Taulau and Turbo as our centres.
I actually have a feeling it might be Koula. Outside of when he played fullback he hasn't really done much this year, compared to Talau in his limited opportunities. Ideally I'd want to see:

1. Hoppa
2. Saab
3. Talau (left centre)
4. Turbo (right centre, like origin)
5. Garrick
6. Brooks
7. DCE
8. Aloiai
9. Simpkin
10. Sipley
11. Haumole
12. Burbo
13. Jake
14. Lawton
15. Bullemor
16. Brown
17. Navale

This is the exact 17 I want to see but I'm quite worried that Siebold is going to leave Garrick in the centres and drop Hopoate for Koula

There is a way to keep TT, TTII, Koala, Saab and Sandwich in the backline . . .
drop Brooks!
Keep TTII at 5/8 instead.
Apart from some early promise I think Brooks has failed to deliver on the pre-season hype.
Not that I think he'll be replaced anytime soon.

The only advantage we have is we'll be well-rested, whereas they'll have a 6 day turnaround.

Even so I think our named team will be very crucial. TLT can't come quick enough.

It's an interesting proposition, but I think Brooks adds enough to justify keeping his spot, even if he is a bit down on his early season form.

Brooks plays his best with a dominant halves partner as soon as he is loaded up with too much responsibility he struggles. Thats not a cticism but Seibold should recogonise the playerts strenghths and weaknessest when he makes his selections.

Its a bit hard when you are missing about 13 players from the team though.

Yes it does make it harder to shine under those circumstances

But then again a Shining Star does not lose its sparkle
True stars shine above adversity and stand out in the darkest of times and make a difference
Brooks faded into insignificance in our losing match against souths

Going to be a tough game to come away with the points .
No doubt still winnable but Cows defence was apparently in good order yesterday and certainly do not lack some decent attack and is just going to require Manly on their game all over the park to pull it off and restore some final "s hopes .
Important match ups all over the park as well and is also going to need quite a bit of ascendency overall Manly }s way to give that vital edge as well

That was the case when he was with the tigers . He never lived up to the dominant and controlling game management Hype .

Seibs endorsed Brooks to take a step back instead of Inspiring him to take a step forward to the challenges from the high expectation and pressures of the demanding NRL expectations

IMO No one goes Forward in their game by taking a step back
IMO Seibs soft mentality approach sucks

NRL ,COM
“One of the big reasons why I came was that Seibs [coach Anthony Seibold] spoke to me about taking a step back,” Brooks said as he fronted the media for the first time in Manly colours on Friday.

“I copped it a lot over there [at the Tigers] but I’m looking forward to laying low here.

“A lot of the pressure is off me and I can just focus on footy. I know I play my best footy when I’m enjoying it.”

I thought penrith without their first choice 1, 6 and 7 were disorganised in attack. Similar to us against souths. I wouldn't read too much into the cowboy's defense from that game.

The Cows were also missing their 6 and 9 from their spine
Winning is all about what you do with the players you have
Losing is all about the Excuses you make

It's not about making excuses. It's about assessing whether it was a valid test of the cows defense.

Both teams were missing players and the cows deserved to win.

That's not the point I was making.

We'll be missing Paseka / Lodge this weekend. Are we locking that in as our excuse for a mediocre showing yet?

Thank you for clarifying your views
My views is at the end of the day we can only make the most of what we have at our disposal
And My excuses point was that in the end you either come up with the right game plan and solutions and win the game ,Or you lose the game and come up with excuses

We both made different relevant points
Keep posting those passionate Manly posts feathered friend @Carl
