seriously, it's interesting to see where the team will be at with croker and gosiewski gone... who fills in? although a bad position to be in, at least barret is now surely in a position to bring up younger players

Bench - Lewis Brown, Shaun Lane, Lloyd Perrett, Taniela Paseka.

Lewis Brown didn't do a whole lot wrong on Friday (nothing more than expected anyway), though I would still be tempted to give Tom Wright a go. However, as Barrett seems to want a spare hooker on the bench then Brown is probably the best bet, plus he can cover backs and forwards.

Lane is in decent form and it wouldn't surprise me to see him in the back row with Toafofoa Sipley on the bench. But personally I'd leave him as a bench prop where he seems to be playing his career best football. I think otherwise, Winterstein is the obvious choice with Gosiewski joining the injured list.

If not Perrett, then Sipley.

Hastings.....well, even though its now at the point where he is an absolute MUST pick.....I guess we'll wait to see who is named on Tuesday. But if Barrett has any brains, he'll be our 5/8 and barring injury will be for the duration of the season.

Hopefully the only time we see Jono Wright's name is Tuesday somewhere in the reserves.

Undoubtedly that's the strongest side we can field. Just a matter of whether Barrett can swallow his pride with Hastings. What's the go with Frankenstein, he didn't play either game this weekend, is he injured ?

Poo to 9
Api to 5/8
Jono Wright utility
Sipley to the bench

Otherwise same as Friday!!

Betcha ( figuratively anyway).

Lane's in form and is deserving of a promotion to starting side, AFB doing nothing wrong although we need his size impact and a bit of variety in our forward pack throughout the game. Brown wasn't shocking and is the best utility available. Hastings in to change up the halves and the obvious choice. Perret is playing like a slow slob, deserves to be dropped. Lane and AFB swap won't happen but it really should, as mentioned the side is lacking forward variety, and this makes our big boys less effective, also they tire around the ruck too easy when all the big boppers are on the field at once.

Really like this lineup mate....maybe Brown the only change up for me??
Then again with all the outs, probably a fair option....Best team I have seen possible with the available roster, just not sure how all this stuff works in who is actually available under NRL rules for selection ??

Jono Wright and Tevita Funa are in our Top 30 as wingers so I'm not sure how Anderson or Suli could play without being elevated to the Top 30. (I know someone explained somewhere how this works but I can't recall the explanation.)

Maybe this is why we are getting Jono to be a forward in reserve grade? To make it easier to promote Suli? (Sorry, I guess desperate times call for convoluted conspiracy theories)

How Jono Wright ended up in the top 30 is beyond me.

****ing useless comes to mind, AND even worse than the future Immortal Lewis “ the Poo” Brown!!

I ended up being Facebook mates with a Kiwi who worked for the Warriors during my time doing the MWTS, he was in the sales / marketing area.

He sent me a PM when we signed Jono Wright with a giant laughing face!!!

By the way I love all the YARTS, but we ALL know it won’t happen!!

Same as last week, Poo to 9, Api to 5/8 and Jono Wright to utility.

See how close I go!!!

And with that side I reckon 60 plus to nil or maybe a consolation try towards the end!!

M Wright and J Wright are injured so Tom Wright will probably get his chance on the wing. Hastings is in the top 30 and will have to be picked over anyone outside the 30 and Lane is a prop so Winterstein gets the gig on the right edge.

I hope Perrett is dropped to Blacktown. Has been woeful recently and while Sipley isn't a game breaker he did look better then Lloyd.

Your top 30 is just your 30 highest paid players. Absolutely nothing to do with talent, although you would expect that talent and salary are closely aligned. Same reason Plod is still in top 30 despite not even being in the country. WE have a large chunk of our cap tied up in a dozen or so players, so the rest is thinly spread - meaning minimum wage would probably qualify you for our top 30. It'd be the same at other clubs

That's the million dollar question isn't it. We know Hastings has to be picked if we are even remotely a chance of salvaging something from this year. The question is will Barrett finally select him in the halves (and actually play him there) or will he continue to sacrifice the season because of his damn pride?

As for Frank....no idea.

To clear things up this is how it works.

The club selects a top 30 roster with the minimum wage being 100k.They then select 5 development players who earn a maximum 60k a year.

The club must submit 29 names initially before March with the final one to be submitted no later than June. Due to salary cap problem we have been allowed to only submit 28 at this stage.

For a development player outside the top 30 to play we must show to the salary cap auditor that we have no one able to play in that position.

So basically to fill our final two spots we need to
1. Buy two new players from outside the club with money left under the cap as of today.
2. Promote development players if we can prove we have no one to play that position.
3. Upgrade the contract of any player within the club to NRL status with a 100k minimum contract while staying under the cap.

Finally guys who have left the club like Lussick and Myles remain as being counted in our top 30 as they are being paid( in Lussick case he has been paid enough before he left to still be counted )

Hope that helps
