Player Cash v Salary Cap

Seems to me there is a bit of confusion between members of this forum regarding the amount of money paid to Foran and DCE per annum (1.2 and 1.4) and the value of the contract registered by Parra and the tits; (unknown).

It is fair to assume that the minimum salary cap component of those contracts the NRL would accept is somewhere between 700-800K. I do not know if that is truly correct, simply making a judgement.

The difference will be made up from the "unlimited" 3rd party deals their managers (really its the clubs) can arrange for them independently of the club. This is not guaranteed by the club.

Both players will assuredly collect the Marquee allowance on top of that (200k I believe).

So DCE is not 1.4 of the salary cap of the tits. (750 cap + 200 ma + 400 3rd party non guaranteed)
So Foz is not 1.2 of the salary cap of the eels. (750 cap + 200 ma + 250 3rd party non guaranteed)

Both the Tits and Eels are still active in the player market. This only makes sense if the real numbers v salary cap numbers are remarkably different.

Manly suffer a lot from a small pool of 3rd party sponsors (eels are huge, not sure of the tits).
