Forward Pass
He played very well for us against the Cowboys. Does anyone think we should give him a permanent spot on the run on squad? I think we should keep Parcell at hooker and put Godinet at 5/8. I can see him working well with DCE by taking the pressure off DCE. He has also lots of rep experience with Samoa. He can do no wrong and he always try's his best! Put Walker in the centres with Killer until Matai comes back.

My backline proposal for next week:

1. T. Trbojevic
2. Matthew Wright
3. Jamie Lyon
4. Dylan Walker
5. Brayden Williame
6. Pita Godinet
7. DCE

This is just my opinion!

Thoughts?

can people please stop using samoa, tonga, city, country etc as rep experience

I mean technically you are correct but uou don't need to be a regular first grader to play for the above

Tom - looked lethargic and slow (especially in the play-the-ball)
Wright - has been so woeful, you don't even know he's there
Lyon - man, I love this player - it's tragic to watch him this season
Walker - good call, but it's Barrett we are dealing with here
Wiliame - he's won once in HOW many NRL games? 2o odd is it?
Godinet - Far too small, and easy to push around
DCE - woefully out of form

Maybe the worst backline in the history of our club as it presently stands.

Godinet certainly looked enthusiastic. Not something we can say for a lot of the others.

Mate, you and I could look enthusiastic as well. He isn't NRL standard at present. But you're right, he would look more enthusiastic than 90% of the rest of these bludgers.

This.

Half of the Samoan and Tongan sides were made up of fringe NRL players who mostly play NSW Cup and PNG was full of Qld Cup players. Not sure about Fiji last week though I do know their best player was playing for another country.

Look, I'll agree that Godinet showed a lot of enthusiasm against the Cows, but against that mob he was pushing up a rope. But I do doubt whether he is first grade quality in the NRL. Sometimes there are small blokes who go on to be champions. Tooves immediately comes to mind and I guess Allan Langer is another. But I have my doubts over Godinet.

I think DCE should be dropped as game after game is providing to be a liability. Replace him with Godinet until we can purchase a specialist 5/8 and let DCE play himself into form in the lower grades.

The defence rests your honour.
Narrowly avoided the spoon at 14 from 15. Dez took over and we finished I think maybe 13th in 2004 and got progressively better. Figures off the top of my head.

Why wouldn't you just put Api there in that situation..?

Oh wow... I am an absolute idiot! Totally forgot about Api!

How about this:

Api to 5/8 while Godinet is on the bench as a utility for any backline position?

In any case, I would like to see Godinet somewhere in the 17. He plays with plenty of heart, something this team definitely needs right now.

It would be good to see Buhrer back as well! @:)

Godinet is another Warriors reject. They have succeeded in the past with other clubs hand me downs but not one that the Warriors didn't want.People got excited about him because he did 1 or 2 above average things against the Cows but he also did some horrible things and his defence makes Walker look like JakeT.Big trouble if people think he is the answer

We do tend to forget how bad times where. How about the 99 side likes of Andrew Frew, Adam brown and hayden.
Yes it's bad but those sides where ****

Yep, fringe players who believe they have no genuine chance of cashing in on SOO selection.

I must be watching the wrong game, dce was taking the line on and was enthusiastic. The only part of his game I didn't like was his 5th tackle options. The backs and wide running forwards are creating options for him and aren't putting the defence in two minds

DCE to 5/8 and Goddinet to 1/2 until Api returns

I like your thinking ....just give Tom Wright a few more weeks to get his confidence up for NRL .....we need big Willis Meehan ASAP ....too.
