Gordon's strange delay when passing off the ground puts so much pressure on the halves. It was very noticeable tonight that they had less time to set up a play. Love the guy, and he has a crack (although I didn't like the razzing he gave to a bloke who made a mistake), but until he gets this out of his game, I think he will remain a fringe first grader at best. We have a premiership winning hooker as an assistant coach in Ennis. Surely someone like that has to address this glaring flaw in his game. Slow service out of dummy half is a fast train to NSW cup.

This has been a glaringly obvious issue for at least 3 years.

It's mind boggling it has not been addressed.....or alternatively, the fact isn't hasn't been addressed is why Gordie is playing NSW Cup.

Provides some good energy but hard to see him being anything more than a fringe first grader.

He also lobs the ball slowly and over rotates it on delivery too often.

Simpkin seems decent and will improve with game time and combinations.....but personally I reckon humphries would have been ideal to hold as a 9.
Yeh ya can't keep them all, but I reckon he looks better than any 9 we have on the books....wish we could add 2-3 years to Large, who is definitely a potential gun 9 perfect in style to fit the modern game
