Sea Eagles prop Taniela Paseka has undergone surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon.

The 27-year-old suffered the injury midway through the first half of Sunday night’s Round 3 victory over the Raiders.

Taniela is aiming to be available to play in Round 25 this season following a 16–20-week recovery period.

Normally about 2 weeks but we have the bye
He would be on shaky ground

So DCE generally has a purple patch at this time if year. It is marked in his personal calendar and good form is a tidy little earner for qld .

Unfortunately for us manly fans it could look like a brief revival but its not for us

Actually very interested to see this new look pack play today - looks to be a more mobile rotation. Bully, Jazz, Navale have leg speed over Aloiai, Jake, Sipley respectively.

Hoping that Talau improves on yardage carries over Saab. And who knows, maybe Simpkin-Gordie combo may provide more sustained threat from dummy half.

If Tom and DCE have good games, and the team turn up mentally, anything could happen. Then again, I always stupidly wake up optimistic on game day.

Get stuck in boys, no time like the present.
