Our structures

Attack: With Turbo out the back of Foz and Schuster in the backrow our left hand structure looked as good as any team I've seen this year. Parker running great lines is also important to this structure. I was starting to think this team just didn't hidnt have the shape and structure to match it with the best but today was extremely impressive. Hopefully we can continue to build on the last 2 weeks.
We also had support and shape off most play the balls, we usually have no support and go 1 out but today we had people pushing up and threats everywhere. Its no surprise that Croker had his best game today.

Defence: Only 12 points scored against us in the last 2 weeks. Our sliding defence seems to be now clicking. We also have some big hitters out there with Aloiai, Keppie, Olakau-atu and Jake.

Keep this side together!!!

Impressive? Enough to suggest we can match it with the best?
LOL, your assessment is based on our performances against the competition heavyweights in the Warriors & Titans?
I guess I am spoilt, I don't expect these teams to be the benchmarks that Manly wants to be compared against. I'm probably still hoping we are premiership threats rather than a team who is just happy to make the 8.

they were superb - the forwards - Paseka, Aloiai, Schuster, Jake, Haumole, Marty and also Keppie and even Croker - fabulous! Whio needs AF when we have Aloiai - seriously? He is a workhorse!

Titans were dominating teams this year and we absolutely smoked them. My assessment is based on today's ass whooping of a team that has been going extremely well. Im not sure what more they could have done today to impress but some people are just negative no matter what.

Today we had a great victory. Rejoice in that news.

Ummm wins against the Broncos, Cowboys & Knights
Losses against the Warriors & Raiders

Not negative mate just realistic.

Today was great to watch but the Titans were awful and the issues with the team have not gone away.
More negative than realistic by a long way. But whatever floats your boat.

People expect so much so quickly. Its just an extension of the 'want it now generation'...

Your spot on to mention structures. Why dont people realise we have a team rebuilding. AFB gone. New winger. New no.6 in Foran. Schuster to second row. No Tommy. Injuries. New defensive structure this year. The list goes on.
These changes take time to gel and work. Today we got a glimpse of what this group can acheive. I will be happy if we beat the tigers 2-0 next week.
Lets just believe and build. Oh and wait for the negative Nancy's to craw back out from under their rocks and talk ****.....

Great win and the Manly team today beats the Manly of the first few rounds by 30+
The best factor was the desperation in defence and the way they shut down Fifita and that left edge....you start closing down opposition strengths and play with enthusiasm....the scoreboard is the reward

I think we will touch up the Tigers then ambush the Panthers as long as their are no further injuries or suspension. Momentum is the key regardless who you beat and the players gain a lot with a NIL in the opposition scoresheet.

A few more games together that left edge will only get better, Foz had his best game since returning.

The middle forwards have been great the last two games, Marty coming off the bench gives us more then him starting.

The right edge hopefully Guaca gets some time there, he look threatening to break tackles, him and DCE can own that edge.

Off the back of our forwards, the backs had time to create. It feels good, doesn't it.

IMO, Des needs to be buying the first round at the pub for the forwards for the next few weeks.

Go the PIG.

I agree our left side attack was fantastic today. DCE still making bone headed decisions on attack annoys me though.
examples please. Coz i thought DCE was a bit quiet in attack but did what he had to do at the same time. Didn't overplay his hand or anything, played it simple, decent kicking game and just overall let Foz control the whole attack.

Marty off the bench is way better than Marty in the run on team.

we are going all the way!!!.. this team is similar to 2011-2013..we do have a dads army..but is in the form of our halves...they were the youngest half pairing to win a GF...ofcourse once our 9 returns we will have a lethal spine.
