I haven’t posted in a while but I had to after watching last night’s games. I have to say that I am really proud of the boys even though I am disappointed that we lost.
For the boys to lose by just 6 points showed the grit and determination this teams has. South’s were given piggy back penalties all throughout the game and none of the referee’s decision went our way. Also the way the boys defended their line for 6 Consecutive set of six showed that our defence is right up there with the very best. It is nearly impossible to win games when you don’t have any football and all refs’ call go against you.
On the bright side, I suppose Des and the boys would have been happy with such a physical match (exactly the type of match you want building up to the semis) and it will be the same this weekend against the Warriors. We still have a few players to come back and the new boys would be better off having started and played in such a match.
I will be at Mt Smart Stadium cheering the boys on this weekend and also at Telstra Stadium on 30th September. Good luck boys in the coming weeks.
