The Who
Journey Man
Just watched three incidents in the NZ V Faders match which could have resulted in a send-off:
1. Wighton places hands between legs of an opponent and spears him into the ground with intent. Send off? No. Sin-Bin? No. Just a penalty.
2. Murdoch-Masilly deliberately elbows a tackler in the head and insights a melee. Send off? No. Sin-Bin? No. He actually receives a penalty!
3. Rapana shoulder charges an opponent (Egan) in the head, and hurts him. Send off? No. Sin-Bin? No. Nothing to see here. Play on....
Why am I not surprised.
Then Lodge fakes a high shot and the Bunker rules a penalty under the posts. The goal ties up the match and, as per the Faders history, they lose it in golden point.
It would be funny if we weren't so invested in this sport.
