The team was great for 75 minutes last night, totally committed and thoroughly deserved that result. The lesson coming out is not to switch off like we did in the last 5. I think we are capable of winning a couple of finals. Drizzle in Melbourne I think is a bridge too far at this stage. The pressure is off our team to a great extent, we were not supposed to make the finals this year so anything the team achieves now is a bonus.

IF we play consistently good footy then we are a chance .
Why are teams like the storm at the top of the tree ?
Because all of their players put is a consistent team effort . All their players , veterans and rookies contribute. Their team carries no passengers

It's a very big if. Confidence is a funny thing, and momentum can be turned in a flash these days. If everyone puts in as they did for most of last night, then sure, might pull an upset or two, but there are still clear weaknesses the better teams will target far more effectively. (bombs away!). The ball bounced our way last night, and that aggressive defense zaps alot of energy you can quickly find no reserves of if scoreboard is close, or against you. Given i was predicting 10th at start of the season, i think the boys have landed in a place now where while it's be amazing to go further, I've put a notch on the 'good season' belt. Anything from here now is a bonus. Missing the finals would've been a major disappointment given how they played at times, and last night showed there is some bite in the bark yet.

At least we are in the finals so all is possible.
So far we've beaten the Chooks twice, smashed Sharks and Cows, demolished Panthers. Don't think we'll be psyched out coming up against any of those.
Dragons are beatable as are Broncos right now. We can beat the Eels.
Storm are an injury or 2 away from being brought back to the field.

Before last night I would have said we'd be bounced out first week of the finals. But if we can play that well every week for the next 4 weeks we can beat even the Storm. We only barely lost to them the first time we played them earlier this year.

Hopefully the Eels bash the @$#! out of them and soften them up.
