I mean what an effort from a big unit like Bully to be in support play to be in a position to get the ball and score when the bomb was from halfway.
Not to mention the footwork he put on to bamboozle Connor Tracy. Not the greatest defender but as an attacking forward he's top notch.

His Origin performance had zero impact not once trying to impose himself or let it be known he has arrived.

Playing in a comfortable way that will always show great post contact metres while playing along the right corridor will make the average fan happy is not going to progress his game to the next level that makes him useful in Origin also.

The problem is he can play in a technically flawed way and still generate great numbers that can be shoved in the critics faces to "shut them up" but come the big games like Origin or when Manly are down in the dumps he will go missing and not be all that productive.

Beautifully light footed, soft hands, agile and can hit defensively with the best of them but also and to be expected being a big body does fatigue fast and you can see him hide himself catching a breath more than he should when the pace is up.

Cronulla exposed this big time and targeted our sluggish tired forwards on the inside who can't keep up, Jake and Oka were also targeted after turning back in from the open side of play.(The big writing on the wall that showed where Manly were really at was the early stages of the Titans game at home, it's just that the Titans fatigued fast and couldn't maintain the speed of play that saved us)

Sure the Dogs game was a massive effort but he had absolutely nothing in the tank and running on fumes for a large period. On his haunches feeling thankful he survived after the game sure is great to see leaving nothing in the tank but to me he is only a 60min player, he needs to improve his fitness an extra 10% in my eyes.

I wouldn't even start him for the first 20mins so we get explosive high energy levels out of him at the back end of the half with a good rest at half time and the first 20mins of the second half hopefully generating a points buffer before he starts to fatigue away in the last 20.(obviously with the makeup of our squad and interchange hard to do until there is a squad overhaul in the forwards)

Enough "dribble" as i could go on for ages on a boring technical tosser crusade, will save the DCE rushing out of the line theories for another time because i feel there is more than meets the eye both very negative and a somewhat unselfish reasons behind it.

He is so under utilised for his potential.

Not coming from a League background oku has learnt so much of his game in top grade.

Manly’s right doesnt play traditional structures very often. A set backline, deep running edge, smooth flow, without stutter and second guessing

Much of okus energy is used up by having players set on him when he receives the ball.

When you seriously wrestle with or without the ball, its the most energy sapping part of the game and he does too much needless wrestle with ball in hand due to service

Dce and oku just can not seem to get in sync on a regular basis for oku to target isolated defenders. Its always traffic and late

it seems pretty unprofessional and highlights a huge flaw in our attacking structure.

Much of what oku faces is similar to the path that sirro walked, except as you say. Oku is a beast and still gets stats despite playing in a clunkfest .

Dce has some great attributes but bringing his outside men into the game is not one of them . Not sure how good oku could be until that part of his game is addressed. Ive been saying this for years , comparing his game and quality ball to kikau when he was still at the riff.

All teams attack with less quality and crispness on the right due to that being the weaker passing side for 90% of players, most elaborate well timed plays done at quality speeds are executed with right to left passing.

Right side attacking structures tend to be a decade behind that of the left, i would even shorten defensive lines and numbers defending against the right side attack, along with having the less agile defenders on this side also.

In saying that the numbers for each side of attack are more equal these days mostly due to creating massive overlaps on the right after focused left side plays requiring less intricate more simple catch and pass plays to take advantage of reduced defensive numbers.

Also attacking high kicks isolating wingers and centres tend to be used on that side for this lack of numbers reason along with right footed kickers have some protection body wise when executing the play.

Manly have been a long way off the mark for a decade now and don't seem to really "get it" or "understand it" to go to the next level.
