Ok 2022 - whats this obstruction rule ??

After seeing a CERTAIN Manly try against South's in the final to Ruben Garrick which would have changed the game, after Tom sliced through and Suli made contact with Reynolds 15m inside who had ZERO chance of doing anything- what's the interpretation??
I mean some games I hear the bunker use common sense and say the defender had no chance and was well out of play....and other occasions like this example- they pull it up....
Make your mind up NRL because this is 1 part of rugby league I absolutely hate - inconsistent calls that change games....and more often than not, Manly get the rough end of the pineapple...:swear:

What would have been Burbo's debut try against the dogs that was disallowed because he ran around the back of Tom - who passed it to him while a dogs player was in front of him way back on our 20 metre line - sums up the stupidity of it all.

The other 12 dogs players had 80 meters to shut Burbo down.

So true, in the Burbo case, why can't it be a consensus of opinion amongst the crew in the Bunker. Or, like they do in the English EPL, the ref has a look at the monitor, and decides if the incident would of had any bearing on the try just scored.

My worst opinion is how some times you hear the bunker "That had no bearing on the play, so we are playing on at this stage"....which I actually like as it's a common sense approach.
But I don't get how the NRL can have it both ways....this by the book seems to be an "option" that the ref can be justifies in playing on or pulling it up and change results and cost a game either way.
Not saying Manly would have gone on with the Win vs Souths in that final, but the confidence would have made it very interesting as such a young team would have built that belief if the Garrick try was "rightly" awarded....
