Wow re Albert! His 5 games in first grade bought him a 50% discount....

Honestly, I'd pass on all of them. The only gamble I would contemplate is Tyrone Roberts as a pinch hitter at hooker for $100k given our plight, but I somehow know I'd regret it.

Is ZDC still on the books with our club/Blacktown?
What about the PNG hooker who trialled with us last season?
Both players are quick, and ZDC is certainly skilful from what I've seen of him. Isn't this what you want from a hooker in today's frantic football era? Does speed outweigh good defence for a hooker these days?

I mentioned this in another thread. ZDC could be our back up option even though he is not top 30 contracted. Maybe why Des isn't too fussed about chasing a hooker. ZDC offers as much as any of those guys off contract except maybe Marshall, I'd have him at 200k for 1 year!

The big issue with signing a journeyman or last year player on a $100k contract is ... (especially with Manly next year) ... is that you then have to decide which one of the young bulls coming through misses out on a top 30 spot ...

Or do a Barrett and have only two kicking options in the 30.

Out of that lot the only real "hooker options" that are worth a look would be Luke,Peats, Tyrone Roberts, Marshall or maybe Cogger as a utility option.
I'm not sure Peats offers anything more than Croker.
Luke seems to have lost his ability
Tyrone Roberts could be worth a shot but again only a depth option.
Marshall and Cogger have more upside than the rest and I'd be happy for either of them to be #30 in our squad but I doubt Marshall would want to play as a back up so that leaves maybe Cogger or Tyrone Roberts BUT neither of them are actual hookers either!!!! I give up 🙂
