THE Bulldogs have been asked for a please explain from the NRL over the presence of colourful porn shop owner and big rugby league punter Con Ange on the field at Belmore on Friday night.
As Canterbury and Melbourne Storm were warming up before the game, Ange appeared on the sideline alongside a sponsor and two Bulldogs officials.
“He turned up as a guest of someone else and we didn’t know he was coming,” Bulldogs chief executive Raelene Castle said.
“He has no connection at all to the Bulldogs and you won’t ever see him again at a Bulldogs game this year.”
The NRL is stepping up its bid to keep undesirables at arm’s length from players.
All 16 NRL clubs will have to send a guest list of every dressing-room visitor who attends matches.
