Young Brisbane Broncos player jailed for two years over assault of NSW man
A young rugby league player who had only just been signed to play in the NRL with the Brisbane Broncos has been jailed for two years over the assault of a man in New South Wales.

Myles Taueli, 23, was charged on Boxing Day for assaulting Bradley Davis on Christmas Day last year.

During an appearance at Gosford Local Court on the NSW Central Coast, he was convicted of the attack, as well as for resisting arrest and destroying or damaging property.
He will remain behind bars until at least April 8, 2020.

Prior to signing a two-year contract with the Brisbane Broncos, beginning in this year’s pre-season period, Taueli played for local Brisbane team the Redcliffe Dolphins since 2017.

The 23-year-old had also encountered controversy earlier in his career after being let go by the Cronulla Sharks in 2016 over a drink-driving charge, according to the Saturday Telegraph. The conviction comes amid a horror pre-season for the NRL, with multiple notable players also having run-ins with the law.

Hanging and the electric chair has not detracted human nature from doing the wrong thing and neither will Jail .
The moral of the story .....
Crime is a problem we can’t solve alone, but through a whole of government, whole of community and whole of family approach, we can work together to break the cycle.

Broncs have a poor culture of thuggery.
They need a massive fine and to not play for points until there has been a complete and independent investigation of the whole club.

Then they can be found quilty and move to the Q Cup.

Does anyone find the Payne Haas thing a bit stinky?
4 weeks club led suspension starting round one for integrity issues. I've read the stories but something just doesn't sit right.
Refusing to talk with the NRL Integrity Unit should incur immediate suspension.

If Haas wants the NRL dollars, he needs to comply with the processes.

Some lame argument that he didn't want to rat on a relo is ridiculous as the NRL only has jurisdiction on players
